I had recurring back problems and it turns out I was training incorrectly for years. The training staff (john) has helped me tremendously. The facility is always very clean. There is plenty of equipment and they’re always in great working condition.

Professional, Positive Results!

I became health conscious when the COVID lock-down started and through dieting and walking I lost over 15 pounds in two months. Motivated to continue my physical fitness and to gain lean muscle mass, I grew interested in weight training. At age 56 with little prior experience in the gym, my main concern was about achieving my fitness goals without injuring myself in the process.

My trepidation ended after the first call with John. We discussed my goals, concerns, and prior physical injuries, and from there John created a customized multi-phased training program that also accommodated my busy work schedule. With each training session, John boosted my confidence by taking the time to explain and demonstrate proper techniques for each exercise. He motivates me to work hard – but instantly stops me at the first sign of doing anything close to being unsafe or could cause injury. John also includes a training app that not only tracks training progress but shows upcoming training programs and exercise demo video clips. It also connects with my My-Fitness Pal app so John is able to provide feedback on my diet – an all-around great motivation and communication benefit.

I can’t say enough about how positive, professional, and accommodating John is in helping me achieve my fitness goals. I recommend him 100%!

Developing a good workout routine had been my goal for the past several years, but building up the courage was difficult. I finally convinced myself to sign up with a local gym and John at Liberty Fitness because I needed guidance for my goal of getting stronger. Initially when I started, I was expecting workouts that were demanding and intimidating, especially for someone who hasn't set foot in any gym other than a school gym. After meeting John, I saw that I was wrong. John has worked with me for a little over 4 months. During my workouts, he is very understanding and laid back, but at the same time you get the workout you signed up for. Most importantly, your workouts are without any judgment or feelings that something in your workout will be impossible. John customizes each of his client's workouts to their specific goals and schedules. During COVID-19, he even helped me keep on track with my goal by doing at home workouts. I've been happy with my results so far; I have gained 4 lbs but lost 4 percent of my body fat. In other words, I have gained mostly lean weight. If you are looking to develop a good workout routine (at any age), I highly recommend John at Liberty Fitness!

I wanted to focus on avoiding injury by improving my core strength. I wasn't really interested in buffing up or making lifting a time consuming hobby. John has done a great job of tailoring the workouts to my specific objectives and ensuring I'm able to fit them into my schedule. I've also been very happy with having the workout tuned to my equipment or lack thereof - especially important during Coronavirus. I've managed almost weekly increases in either weight or reps. John is a great guy who is your partner in achieving the objectives you define together.
