Life Storage - Cleveland

Stay away if you are planning to store large, heavy items in the inside units.

Horrible place to bring your furniture, appliances. Narrow doorways, only 1 elevator in the whole facility, with very narrow door that will aggressively try to close on you. If your unit is on the second floor and you will come after working hours you will have to walk all the way through the first floor to the only elevator which is by the front entrance then all the way back on the second floor. Imagine doing that with your sofa on one of the few small carts that they have.

Rear ramp is not working and permanently closed. You will have to unload and squeeze your items through a narrow door. Front doors are also narrow and only open during working hours. No normal heavy duty gates.

Carts. There are just 3 of them and they are constantly busy (I had to wait for 15-20 minutes for a cart once), especially during working hours. Stubborn wheels. Very small, you won’t be able to move a full size mattress on one of them, it will fall off.

Office. Their official working hours are like 8 am to 6 pm, but often there is nobody in the office even during working hours, come at 5 and it is often empty. One day they had a “meeting” in the morning, closed front doors which I was counting on and left the office totally ruining the day for me. My entry code was getting suspended every day for no reason so I had to ask them to unsuspend it every time, luckily they resolved it.

Very creepy during the night (see the video), also I suspect several homeless people are living in the units.

Got a 10×10 on the second level and there was well over by the least 10 units that are 10x10 on the first level available. The carts need W-D40 and and the handles need to be tightened. The units are not heated. They are very clean safely and secured within the units alone, which is 5 a Star. I have no idea how I'm going to get my bigger belongings into the unit because the halls are narrow. One gate and one garage door opening for access, no easy entrance access. One elevator at the front entrance only. The units are very much over priced for what they claim they offer. The facility is very cold inside and will limit your time of being inside taking care of what you need to take care of. The restrooms are locked, so make sure to take a bucket, a bottle water, wipes and hand sanitizer. The locked bathrooms confused me seeing how only customers have access to the facility. The admistration fee of $20 is ridiculous because you can literally do rent and pay and gain access from your phone.

Everyone has been so helpful and has gone above and beyond this is the first time my husband and I have used storage and if we ever have to use it again this will be the first place that we go to highly recommend it

I want to start off by giving this facility on Lorain a five star because of the manager Tanya Davenport she is a asset to the company she is always nice and courteous and polite to all the customers that come in to the facility and in my opinion she's probably the best manager this company has and I hope the higher-ups in the company can read this review and appreciate who they have as a manager at this facility

Tonya is the best mf worker in that place she deserves the best coming to her and hopefully a raise she has awsome communication skills and knows what she’s doing on top of have a great personality and smile I appreciate all the help she has given me keep it up queen

Rented a unit for my son's stuff for summer college break. The rental process was easy and the staff on site were very friendly and helpful. The moving out process was just as easy. Everything done with simple online sign and send documents. Would defiantly rent with Life Storage at this location again.

If you are in the need for a storage unit Life Storage is the answer! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by the store manager Tonya’s they’re supposed plane, no ketchup, no mustard, thank you warm and friendly smile, which instantly made me feel comfortable and welcome.

Tonya's exceptional customer service skills were truly impressive. She patiently listened to my storage needs and offered me various options to choose from. She went above and beyond to ensure that I found the perfect storage unit that fit my requirements and budget. Tonya's knowledge about the facility and its amenities was extensive, and she answered all my questions with great detail and clarity.

Furthermore, Alyssa, one of the staff members, also played a significant role in making my experience at this storage facility exceptional. She was always available to assist me whenever I needed help. Alyssa's friendly demeanor and willingness to go the extra mile made me feel like a valued customer.

The entire storage facility was well-maintained, clean, and secure. The units were spacious and easily accessible. I felt confident leaving my belongings in this facility, knowing that they were in safe hands.

They have that whole entire building & outside storage yet there's only 3 carts. & mine you I'm only 5'1 & had to carry big heavy industrial size garbage bags all the way to my unit by myself because there were no carts available

Customer service is excellent. Manager Tanya helped us move from a larger unit to a smaller one. We never had any issues with our unit. The hours are good and everything is always clean. And e love the bogo free months.

Let me begin with if you have anything in storage here, BE ON GUARD, someone has brought BED BUGS into the facility. Several times in my 50+ years I have had to put some or all of my things in storage for a while. Never have I had a problem like this. I began removing my things from Life Storage and sorting through things to finish setting up my place. Within a couple weeks of having my stuff back I stared itching. At first I put it off as old dusty boxes. But as I know my body I realized the itching was something well, NOT GOOD! Also, may I add, the insurance is useless in this situation due to the fact that by the time you get your things out and the Bed Bug Fiesta begins your stuff is no longer in the facility. You have to have pictures (with the bugs on your stuff in the facility) before their miniscule amount applies. MAYBE WITH ALL THE MONEY THEY MAKE THEY SHOULD TAKE MORE PROCAUTIONARY MESSURES TO TRY TO KEEP OUR STUFF SAFE AND 'WE THE PEOPLE' HAPPIER. To Confirm, I Would NOT Recommend Using This Facility.

The people here are awesome. They have a good sense of humor and they do their jobs. I haven’t experienced any problems yet and I will definitely be telling people about them. There are really good for the price that they are and to be honest I have no problem doing more business with them.
