Life Time, Beachwood OH

I used to go here a lot until they changed the basketball court hours. Now they don't really have basketball much anymore. I canceled and lots of my friends canceled their membership due to this dumb thing they did. If the gym hours go back to normal, I wouldn't mind getting another membership again.

I think the amenities are fantastic, and with the price increase, I was hoping to see less people there, or more equipment. However, it was explained to me via the sales rep that there was no value-added equipment for a childless lifter/casual athlete. Essentially, I went with a $50/mo option (Old School Iron) with less customers / more advanced equipment and added Esporta (LA Fitness) on Tiedeman for their sauna/pool/hot tub for $45/mo. With two memberships I have more flexibility and save money. Plus, it is closer to me here on the west side of Cleveland.

I am located near the central/west side of Cleveland. If I didn't ahve to come here before work it would be a higher value for me. However, for someone commuting to Beachwood it was a stretch for the pricing. Also, I travel monthly for work, and many of the locations I travel to require a "higher " membership with even more costs associated thare are not included in the "VIP" upgrade. So in the end, I won't discourage anyone going here, but I wouldn't encourage going there unless it's close (~11 min), you make $90k+, you don't travel for work, and you take full advantage of weekly use of classes, aquatics, and are okay with trying to game plan/scrimmage your way through the machines.

Love Lifetime Fitness. My only complaint is that they don’t fully utilize the basketball courts, very disappointing. The hours are so limited and it’s is very often unoccupied for no apparent reason?

Clean, well managed, love the steam room amenity! Great addition of pickleball courts recently and now a way to reserve them. Just need more of them ;)

Nicest gym in Cleveland, cleanest as well, all because it’s luxury doesn't mean your belongings are safe past 2 times something was stolen. Lock your stuff up. Kids still finding there way in here stealing. Why I switched gyms to strong style, no one’s stealing at a mma gym,

Way over priced. There is nothing wrong with being a little more than the competition because you are offering a little more. This place is priced 4-6 times more expensive than all the other gyms in the area and still charge for some extras. I remember being at the mall when they built this place and we're doing a sign up drive, people were literally laughing at them and the cost and walking away. However, we all know some are silly enough to think cost and status go hand in hand and they'll pay the crazy price just to say they're a member.

The good: The gym itself is very, very nice. Most of the employees are very friendly. The indoor pool is nice.
The bad: The gym is overcrowded often times. A number of the personal trainers never correct people's bad form, and have horrible form themselves. One guy had a woman doing deadlifts and was just watching her butt the entire time. They just don't seem to care. They have childcare, which I initially thought was great, but the employees there are hit or miss. Some are great. Last time we went, however, a toddler was hitting our baby in the face with a toy. Our baby was screaming while the employee was sitting there on her phone. We brought it up to her and she basically ignored what we were saying. They have a small café there but it's crazy overpriced—like $9-10 for a smoothie. And this gym is quite overpriced as well! These problems are completely unacceptable when paying this much. After the childcare incident we finally had enough and canceled our membership. We won't be going back and we do not recommend this place.

Overflowing trash cans and staff is slow to repair equipment. Location is dated and the layout makes it feel congested and busy. Locker room smells every time I'm there. Wouldn't recommend. Staff is rude (possibly due to being short)

Was a member for 5 days - had my wallet, keys, shoes and clothes stolen out of my locker. It's a "social gym bro" gym that I don't recommend. Unless you want to watch a bunch of people socializing in the gym for $100 a month.

Childcare is not even close to as it is advertised. No one even looked at my child all 1.5h she was there and when I came to pick her up she was sitting alone in the corner with the childcare workers doing something & talking far away from her. There were no other kids. I felt bad that I left her there. They could at least offer her to draw/play next to them but she said they didn’t try to talk to her at all. Dissapointed.

Steamroom, indoor (and outdoor in summer) pool, hot tub, sauna.all amenities that no other gym around here (to my knowledge) has. Helpful staff, family-friendly. I really enjoy coming here. It's a great place to work out and feels like a mini-vacation!

I came to take a tour of your facility and the receptionist was very rude she put her hand up and said we are not giving tours because of being short staffed as she was smacking her lips while eating. She never asked if i wanted to come back at another time or schedule an appointment. I came in hoping to get a tour and had my heart set of possibly getting a membership but after today I’m having second thoughts. This is very unprofessional.

I stopped here one morning to use the sauna and steam room. The steam room was extremely dirty with hair and dirt all over the floor and seating. The sauna also smelled terrible. The water was very hard and made my skin dry afterwards. I normally go to a diamond club so I understand the quality is diminished here, but this barely feels like a Life Time gym! If I were a regular here, I'd be disappointed and spend money at another facility.

I love it here, and honestly once you experience lifetimes amenities.all the other gyms just don't compare. I was a memebee years ago and decided to come back. Its super clean and never had any issuse. You can't beat it! The pool out side in the summer is the bonus! It's fitness paradise lol

One of the bigger gyms that I have been to. The pool area is fantastic the out and inside. The daycare most definitely comes in handy and the rockwall is very nice for all levels of climbers

Be aware of the ridiculous 30-day notice required to cancel your membership. If you have to leave and won’t be using the club anymore they will still take almost 200$ from you for nothing just because it’s their “policy”.

I love this place for myself and my family. If you love swimming it is amazing and extremely clean. The monthly memberships are a bit expensive in my opinion because I can’t come to the gym as much as I would like.

They charged me ridiculously high prices to used there facilities just for them to be closed the majority of the time, not to mention they do a poor job of sanitation.the biggest issue here is there lack of communication with the members who pay to be here are horrible. They will tell you that they reached out about issues regarding your accounts and money knowing they havent and still charge you for it.
