Linardos Villa reviews
16I got the Mediterranean pasta add chicken, Eddie got the lasagna. Literally everything was delicious! The atmosphere was so chill, perfect after a busy day.
I am so Raving about this Great establishment. From The ownership, (Mr. Harry) who me and my husband had the pleasure of talking to and the Highly attentive Kitchen Chefs. To our waitress Ms Angie, who was highly versed in the menu and wines. She Was a Wine connsouir to what our taste Pallets craved.a Sweet Red, She offered two and our pick was Mavrodaphni of Patra. Kourtaki. Excellent choice. The wine complimented our dinner entrees which were for myself Greek house w Greek dressings, Fried Mushrooms and a Perfectly lightly breaded Walleye and Baked. And my husband's choice was appetizer Fried Smelt, Dinner entree Chicken Rapama, Moussaka, Pastitsio, Dolmathes. (He loved all of his Choices) For desert he had a, Greek cream cake. Lets also talk about the Homemade. Fresh, right out of oven, soft and to Die for.
The Presentation, the food being prepared expeditiously, And the Atmosphere was ExceptionalA must try. And Now a Favorite! Definitely will be back! Thanks for A beautiful Evening.
I got taken out and the price was fair and food was awesome. Wish I could have dined in because the atmosphere was really neat. Must stop for foodies. All kinds of unique plates, sides, salads, etc.
Food was decent. Place could use some updating and perhaps in a different location. Lots of choices on the menu.
The only dish that tasted okay was my salad, and her Caesar salad just tasted like wet lettuce. There is clearly something that needs to be done in revamping this menu. Not sure if it's the ingredients, the way they were prepped, or the chef themselves that is the issue here, but definitely will not be returning.
Staff is always courteous, and food is terrific, along with wine lists, and dessert trays, although we were too full to order dessert, this visit!
We did purchase a bottle of my favorite dark, sweet Greek wine!
Linardos is a staple gathering place for my family. From dinner, to parties for anniversaries or wakes… we love it. The staff is friendly, the drinks are fair, & the food is tasty. It was the first place I ever tried salad, baklava, veal, & many other things.
The restaurant is a city landmark. However I understand the father will not permit any updating of the interior. Just the same I believe those old enough to recall the glory days have long passed. It's still a unique place hopefully facing a complete interior update soon. But that does not affect great service or excellent food.
Loved the old world feel of the place. The food was delicious. The service was great. Will definitely be back.
Outstanding Spanakopita and Baklava, Love the atmosphere the vintage light fixtures have. Came here with a friend who had the combination dinner to try Greek for their first time, and I tried their Dolmathes, and loved them. I had the Chicken Kiev and it was lovely and a healthy portion as well, loved the staff who made it feel homey. Very nice gem to stumble in on a whim, absolutely worth a return trip to try everything I didn't have room for the first time around.
Family owned for over 50 years. Decor kind of dated. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Food portions were not too much, so we finished the meals. Very tasty. Prices were reasonable. I look forward to going back
I haven't been there in years. Needless to say, we will be going back many times! My dad was Greek and their Damothes tasted like Dad made it! I was very impressed!
Amazing service, great food, super pricing, lovely clientele, will definitely stop in again if we are in Springfield!
Pork schnitzel was beautifully cooked, tender with a crispy breading. Gravy was perfect compliment for schnitzel and mashed potatoes. Homemade desserts were presented the old fashioned way by bringing samples on a tray to your table. They all were beautiful and the two we ordered were delicious! Totally recommend them!
One man was running the whole restaurant (plus a dishwasher) leaving my party of 20 to founder for a couple of hours. My meal, my mother’s & my friend’s were disgusting. Others in my party had good meals. The bathroom smelled like old pee. Could not get our bill until I went into the kitchen. He blamed the issue on his “girl” who went home sick. Failure to have sufficient staff is his fault, not the employees’. Looks like it hasn’t been cleaned or updated since the 60’s parking is a mess. This is a Kitchen Nightmares place, for sure! Far too expensive for the quality. My bread dish was greasy (not clean)
