Living Word Church - Vandalia Campus

A truly wonderful place with wonderful people, powerful worship and impactful messages. The truth is preached with love, humor, and grace, but there is always a call to action. There is such passion for the souls of our city, to meet needs and to love people into the kingdom. I always sense God's prescence here. We have been coming for five months now and have grown so much. God is doing amazing things at Living Word.

Absolutely love Living Word. My daughter is a member. She invited me. I fell in love with this church after my first visit. Everyone is so welcoming. It's come as you are. No judgement. I have brought every walk of life with me and they were at ease and felt comfortable. Pastor Pat and everyone else are absolutely amazing!

From the minute we walked in there was a warmness and welcoming spirit. Great worship music and even greater teaching by the pastor.

WOW! I am so blown away by this church! First off, they treat their visitors SO well! Upon arrival on Easter Sunday at the 9 am service, I was greeted while pulling in. I told them this was my first time here and asked where I should park. I was 10 min late and the parking lot was PACKED. I was shocked when he radioed in another church member and they had saved first time visitors a spot right up front. There are very few things in life that still make you feel special. This gesture alone made me feel so special. After parking I was warmly greeted 3 times while walking in. While at service 4 people approached me welcoming me. It meant so much to me how such a large church actually noticed I was new and made me feel welcomed. Easter service was spot on. I have been church searching for a while to find a place to call home and settle. I'm appalled at what pastors are preaching. Attended a service the day before and the pastor compared Jesus dying on the cross equivalent to getting a deal at Walmart Pastors should never cheapen the gospel and I believe that is why people are leaving the church because most offer feel good all about what's in it for me type services rather than it being all about Jesus and the true meaning of why we celebrate Easter. Easter bunnies should not be in the church. The pastor preached the bible not an opinion. Living Word will now be our home church. I'm excited!

Don’t be mislead by the review that says this church speaks week after week on tithing. You can feel the love in this church. I have never felt pressured to tithe. They usually mention the way s in which you are able to give if you feel compelled to do so. This takes a whopping 30 seconds per sermon. These people speak from the heart and their congregation is very friendly.
