Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center reviews
19The entire staff was absolutely brilliant. The staff treated us respectfully and professionally. What a refreshing hospital! The staff genuinely are happy and want to be there. I am a retired RN and was there for my brother.
Operators who answer the phones do not like to assist well. Prefer to hang up and not assist. Train better. Veterans deserve better.
The staff and personnel surrounding the VA medical system allow veteran to retire with grace and dignity. As a child I heard horrendous stories about the level of care that I may receive from the VA. To my surprise all of the stories may have spoken to wartime practices and inefficient care; todays medical system is nothing like the times of our forefathers. When we are at our lowest point it is the people who reach out with love, care and empathy that leave a lasting impression. The security provided by this medical system mixed with the personal touch is everything that America Needs in their level of care for its citizens.
In person they are great. Absolutely terrible over the phone. Had a message left from Monique with the EKG department to call them back to get my heart monitor put on here at home. She gave me the wrong extension, so here I am over 2 hours later after being on hold multiple times and transferred to different places with NOBODY answering their phones and now they are closing. Called over 30x between the extension she gave me, the transfers and different departments and never got this accomplished. I hope someone reads these. She needs dealt with. Oh and in her message she left, she repeated the wrong extension 3x. Horrible
It's horrible what a VET has to go through just to speak with some one. WE FOUGHT FOR THIS COUNTRY.
Great place always seen within 15 mins of set appointment time. Staff friendly and courteous.
I had surgery and the crew was very polite, courteous and helped through the day. Got me a ride to another clinic, got me a ride back, got me a room. Asked all the time, whats your name, birth date, last four always making sure I'm the right guy. Surgery went well and I lived thru the whole ordeal.
Took my brother to emergency and it took over 4 hours to be called to the back. This is terrible for people that has served this country. Shame on America
Horrible experience each and every time I come here to take care of my dad important business. Can believe the services they give everyone is very rude and unprofessional something needs to be done about this ASAP I hope the CEO of this VA Hospital see this review and take action. Veterans do not deserve this type of service
People are friendly and helpful. In my experience appointment wait time to see Doctors are reasonable plus they have TV'S in all waiting rooms, or make sure to bring something to do. Hospital is clean & so are the restrooms. Restrooms have electronic doors, one problem is not all restrooms doors are able to fit Wheelchairs and Rollators.
I recommend Cleveland VA Hospital for all my care &you should to.
This hospital has done an excellent job providing care to my father. He has been diagnosed and treated for 3 different types of cancer.
Docs don't listen. Place is good for being given conflicting medications though issued at the same time. Run you round in circles n accomplishes nothing but wasting your time.
I was a nurse in the private sector. Spent 4 yrs in the air force back in the 1980s. Was in a bad situation with my health. The care I was received was compassionate, respectful and effective. Pretty much gave me my hope and life back. Thank you Veterans Affairs for the great care!
Just try to call in to the Cleveland VA. Excessively long hold times only to be transferred to different people and get hung up on. And they call my phone with automated messages to call them back. They ship the incorrect medications and sometimes just don’t fill prescriptions at all. They misdiagnosed my foot problems, missed a c diff diagnosis and they are often less than truthful. The VA has caused me more problems than I had before I sought help from them. Extremely aggravating!
I RECCOMEND NOTHING! My father, an army vet, needs to be seen by a neurosurgeon asap cause local hospital found aneurysm in his brain (2 weeks ago), and VA has yet to approve it.my mom been working around clock to get the appointment, yet needs approval still from VA, my dad is ticking time bomb and was placed strict restrictions, means no working, no lifting, no driving, no excitement, NO nothing and needs to be seen asap.and this is how he is treated? First off he should be able to be seen anywhere anytime.anyways possibly.and billing should be not an issue EVER.you treat your Mena dn woman of service like fn number! Disgusting.how do you sleep at night
VA has some great docs. Even after coming home from the service they still treat and take care of me like I was still active duty. Thanks to all of the staff at the VA hospital for all of the great care.
Can the patient advocates office please pick up the phone? Give us the option for you to call us back when you have the time. 67 minutes on hold. I finally hung up.
Food is too high vets deserve reasonable prices in the cafeteria. The canteen also has outrageous prices.
The staff is very rude in the business center. I hate coming here because mostly everyone who works here is rude, because I look like a child. If I could go somewhere else for my needs, I would.
