Loveland Pediatric Dentistry- Lauren Capozza, DMD

We love Loveland Pediatric Dentistry! Suzanne, the dental hygienist, and Dr. Lauren are incredible and makes our son feel so at ease. Highly recommend!

I will NEVER return to this office. I took my toddler here and was told he had a cavity. The dentist proceeded to shame me for still breastfeeding him, saying that caused the cavity and said he should be sleeping through the night at his age. She was completely out of line (apparently she’s also a child sleep specialist - who knew?) and has a horrible bedside manner and zero people skills. And she will also say all of this loudly in a room full of people for everyone to hear. Also kept us waiting for 20 minutes between hygienist and dentist. Parents - please don’t take your kids here unless you want to be shamed and talked down to like you’re a child.

My daughter says that this was the best dentist experience she has ever had. We will be bringing both kids back to this office! Worth the 30 minute drive.

Do NOT be fooled by their fancy website and how clean it is. They will clean out your pocket by making you pay up front for every service they provide. I made a specific appointment and when walking in they refused to do what I made the appointment for and added several other things to their time with my son. They refused to extract his teeth when it’s been something that has been send to Dr. Capozza over a year ago and she refuses to do it. If you want to pay lots of money then I would highly recommend this dentist! She will nickel and dime you for everything. Glad we decided to leave after hearing horror stories from friends about service and how they bill insurance. I had to put a star because in order to leave a review you have to!

My daughter and son were recently treated by Loveland Pediatric Dentistry. All the staff were wonderful, from the receptionist to the hygienist through the Dr. Great experience all around. I wish we would’ve found this practice sooner.

Loveland Pediatric dentistry was awesome! They saw our daughter for an after hours emergency. The staff was patient, kind and Dr Lauren is so knowledgeable. She saved me from having to go to Cincinnati Children’s main campus. We will be lifetime clients and had a great experience!

Such a great experience with our new dentist. The hygienists were lovely, kind, gentle, informative and understanding. Couldn’t be happier with them.

We love everyone at Loveland pediatric! They are all so sweet and caring and so very patient with my son!

If you had done your due diligence with contacting the insurance company, you would have already known what they would cover. Instead, you assumed what they would cover then blame the insurance for your negligence. No, you can't blame the insurance for this one. I'm glad you have the calls recorded and that you still aren't willing to fess up to your mistakes.

Unfortunately, Dr. Anthony Kamp retired and we were forced to find a new pediatric dentist for my 3 boys. My youngest boy needed 2 fillings which were discovered by Dr. Kamp right before he retired. I went to work calling around to see who would evaluate. Dr. Capozza's office said the evaluation would be free which was enough to sway me to come in with my son. I miss Dr. Kamp more than ever now. Everything was wrong. Evaluation wasn't free ($111 for an 8 min discussion about fillings) followed by $377 and $310 for fillings (in case you want to know rough estimates for charges without insurance). Even after insurance coverage (which I have a great dental plan), we owed $111 for the evaluation (which is NOT free as stated before) and another $158.80 for 2 fillings (which is also $49 more than their original estimate).

I will say that we did not experience any issues during the fillings with Dr. Capozza. But the billing department is in serious need of training. I previously worked in the insurance industry and the billing statement from their office is incomprehensible. Which means, I have a lot of homework now to try and figure out what in the world they actually did.

Quick comparison: we had a root canal earlier this year on the same insurance plan which was $235 out of pocket.

I pulled an old invoice from Dr. Kamp and for similar services, we paid $75 out of pocket. $269.80 vs $75 and no hassle.

In conclusion, we will continue to search for a replacement that can live up to Dr. Kamp's service and reliability b/c we clearly did NOT find it here. They absolutely refused to cover even the $111 evaluation fee that I originally understood to be "free". I am definitely paying for my mistake of trusting this office.

We had an excellent experience at Loveland Pediatric Dentistry! Everyone was super kind and knowledgeable and really listened to my children. The facility was nice and clean, complete with fun toys and books while we waited. I highly recommend!

Dr. Capozza and her assistants seem to really care for the well-being of their patients. I felt that that she genuinely cared for my child and wasn’t seeing him as a way to make money. She was very thorough in her explanations with any concerns I had. I will be taking my kids there again!

Our hygienist (nancy) and Dr Lauren were friendly and awesome as usual! Beautiful sparkly clean office with movies for the littles and toys after the appointment. My 2.5 yr old loves the dentist! We highly recommend!

Completely money focused practice. Our insurance is out of network and we pay the difference of $9 each visit. We switched to an "in-network" insurance, according to their front office, and come to find that they recently dropped their "in-network" insurance so it is no longer considered in network. At our next appointment we found out that our cost increased to us paying $150-$200 ($355 without insurance!) for a simple cleaning. We declined the service (we had shown up for the appointment) so they charged us a $35 cancelation fee. They no longer accept most major insurances and have risen their prices way more than other practices - They run a money focused operation.response to their response: The amount covered for out-of-network dentists by our 2 insurance companies for a yearly checkup is similar, yet what we would be charged by this practice increased from $9 to $150 or more from one visit to the next. Something does not add up, and charging a cancelation fee when I did show up for the appointment (but declined service when I was told my bill increased from $9 to $150 or more) signals that you do not care about retaining patients or working to address an issue.

Note that all the negative reviews from this practice have come in the last few months. I have been taking my children to them for years, but recent changes and their unwillingness to work with me have made me look for a new provider. They were once good, not sure what changed, but a very different place now. Apparently I am not the only one who thinks this.

Dr. Lauren and her team are AMAZING! They take the time to make your littles feel safe and comfortable. They explain everything to kids and parents in a way that everyone can understand and have excellent bedside manner. We love this office and always have a great experience. Highly recommend!

I had amazing experience there. Their facility is beautiful. Everyone is so helpful and nice. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience for my son.

The front office very clean and staff were all friendly. My daughter said she can't wait to go back. They give the kids goodie bag when they leave that was best part my daughter said.
