The best home builder in America. People who care about how you want to design your home and provides numerous options for you to select. Support after construction is amazing and they are with you on everything.

I rarely if ever post reviews but felt I had to as pur experience has been so poor and I got fed up. I only gave 2 stars because we like the location and floorplan. Everything else we have had problems.

We built with MI and moved in in December of 2019. I would not recommend. We have had problems with everything since day one. From the sales process, through construction, and all the issues post close. We have been in our house for 9 months and still have a laundry list of issues inside and out that need fixed. Some of these they have been out multiple times and haven't fixed or did a bad job and have had to come out again. It feels like they cut corners to get us in before end of year and now we are dealing with the results. Most recently we were given bad advice regarding our sod (that was laid down 3.5 months late in the absolute hottest part of the year and so we went all spring and part of summer with no usable yard). Multiple MI employees told us that our city would give a discount on water since we were a new build with fresh sod. Turns out that was bad advice as our city has never done that and we are stuck with a water bill of nearly $1,000. Had I been given better advice I may have researched a deduct meter or tried to limit my watering somewhat. I gave MI customer care a chance to reimburse some of this cost since they gave us bad advice around watering and installed months late that led to me watering substantially more than I would have had to. They took no responsibility and would not help out. Their answer after I had to escalate to the customer care director since the other individuals I spoke to were very rude, was 'it is what it is'. This is just the most recent in a long list of poor customer service experiences we have had with them. I would not recommend them to anyone who asks and I can't wait until they can complete the fixes on the poor work they did the first time so hopefully I will not have to deal with them again.

Kristin Collins, Mike Young, and Cathy McCort are three wonderful M/I employees who we have the privilege of working with to build our dream home. Everyone has been wonderful and so helpful. We visited the brand new beautiful and spacious design center and it’s very impressive! I will update review when build is done.

Bought a ready to move in house in June 2019, very satisfied and happy with M/I Homes so far. There were a few minor issues after moving in as expected and the customer service got it fixed promptly. Overall it has been a good experience dealing with this company and I would recommend them to my friends and other family members. Keep up the good work M/I Homes!

We walked and they didn't even acknowledge us for nearly 20 minutes. Then when the lady did, it was obvious that she didn't want to. This company has a problem with how they interact and engage with certain folks. This is the second time my wife and I have had a bad experience with this company in the last 5 months. The first time we thought it was no big deal, but two times is not a coincidence; especially when you consider the fact that this is was a different location. They seem to have a problem with providing good service when it comes to certain folks.

First off my wife and I can’t wait for our house to be finished. The seller and builder have been nothing but awesome. The design center however was awful. My wife and I picked everything out and a few days later she wanted to change the sink option. No big deal right? Wrong! We were told we were past the 21 day window to make changes. Even tho it was only 16 days after we met with them. The lady then said it’s 21 days from signing your contract. We were not told that. We were finally able to get it changed but had to pay a $100 late fee. No big deal but I assume people want things changed all the time so they have to have some kind of late/change fee process. They should of just told us that to begin with. I went to drop it off in cash (we don’t use or carry checks) the BOSS walked right by me didn’t say hi or anything. She finished up with who she was helping then went right to the break room to make lunch. I stood there for 5 min before another lady came out to help me only to be told they don’t take cash. Even tho the email never said that. Finally they’re waving the fee and changing the sink. They haven’t even broke the ground yet and they can’t change a $50 sink? !? !? ! If we ever build again we will not be going through them.

They make bad builds when it comes to homes and when I requested they fix an ongoing issue with the build of the home they refused stating that it wasn’t structural so they had no interest in fixing it. I would avoid building with this company or buying one of their builds, they’re not interested in building long lasting quality houses, they just want to build to make quick money. And from my own experience they won’t do much to fix what problems they caused during the build, I cannot stress this enough do not waste your hard earned money with them.

Building with M/I was an absolute pleasure from start to finish. We worked with some of the most knowledge, accommodating, friendly professionals in the industry. There is a multitude of great communities, floor plans and design options to suit any taste. The quality of materials and attention to detail are incredible. If you're in the market to purchase a new home, look no further than an M/I Homes.

Great people to work with. Very helpful, attentive and responsive without being pushy or up selling anything. This was our first home and they did not take advantage of that! Very happy we chose M/I to build our first home.

Building with M/I Homes was simply the best experience we have ever had in all our years of building new homes. It was enjoyable and everyone that we worked with made it completely stress-free. We can truly say we have the best quality home we have ever had and we are thoroughly delighted!
