Hello guys at mad river out fitters -I placed my order fri and the following week I received it on thurs, I live in utah you have a repeat customer follow though awsome. God speed and party on el guapo.

I ordered online. They have a great selection of items and the best price's I've found for the tings i needed for fly tying. The only thing that is not the best is the free shipping you get for buying over $50 worth of stuff it took my items 6 full days to get it to me.

Awesome staff, They even stayed a little late to help me get exactly what I needed. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

My experience was fantastic, I don’t know how a store can have so many Customers in it and still maintain that level of customer service.

My father and I took Brian’s introductory to fly fishing course at high banks metro park in the mid 90’s. The course was fantastic and it ignited a passion for the sport that will never leave me. I specifically remember a part of the course when Jim Andrix was demonstrating casting and instantly hooked a smallmouth. Needless to say I also was hooked! It has been amazing to follow Mad River Outfitters through the years and watch the place go from a tiny shop to what it is now. The faces have changed through the years but the customer service has always been been top notch. When I travel to destinations I find I compare fly shops to MRO and often wish I could take them with me. I have had unforgettable guide experiences with Andy fly Carpin as well as Muskie fishing with Pat. Brian, Andy, Pat, and Ryan know their stuff and I recommend hitting them up if you stop in to the shop.

I live in Alaska and shipping is always a pain to get things here in a timely manner. When I ordered my simms wanders (for a great price I might add) I got a tracking number right away and informed they would be arriving in three days. I previously ordered some fly line from AMAZON which took me 2 weeks to get my package, so I was skeptical my waders would get here in three days. Sure enough within three days I got my waders in perfect condition. I would also like to point out this was with FREE shipping. Amazing service and great product selection. I will be doing business with them again. Skip amazon and support this family business. You'll be glad you did. Mad River Outfitters is a 5/5 in my book.

After finding these guys on YouTube and watching their instructional videos I called them up and was shocked by the patience and time they took to answer all my questions. They knew exactly what outfit would fit me best for my style and location of the fish we go after here in Tennessee. Placed my order and a few days later received everything I needed to get on the water. Thanks for all the help guys and especially to Brian for sharing his passion with us all! I will continue to utilize Mad River for all my fly fishing needs.

Absolute excellence when it comes to customer service, I flew to Ohio from AZ for Xmas, my father got me a Derek Deyoung print as a gift from this shop, felt uncomfortable taking it back home with me on the plane, drove down to Columbus to ask them if they could ship it to AZ for me, no questions asked, they had it shipped back to my home address in great packing by the time I got home, thanks Mad River!

In a time when you need understanding Mad River steps up. My son Emy and I planned a trip to Boliva to catch Golden Dorado. Emy passed away on 10/19/2019. I called Mad River Outfitters and explained my circumstance. There was no hesitation they refunded our money. I hope to make this trip another time and take my Daughter. You fly fishing, you come here! Best gear, best help, no fluff or sales pitchy.they know the product because they actually use it in the field. No matter what you spend they treat you the same. We have spent 500 and even 15 bucks & treated awesome each time!

I recently had an excellent experience with mad river outfitters as I regularly do. I called the shop (which I highly recommended) and Justin answered the call. I wanted to special order a redington grande in a certain color and a redington vice 8wt rod. He gladly got me set up and ordered what I needed and shipped it out to me in Rhode Island. This company is more than a company. It’s an independent business that cares! I highly recommend them for any gear, guiding or whatever you are in need for! These folks know what you need and don’t sell you junk just to make a sale. They want you to be happy with your purchase and want you to leave with an exceptional experience. I spoke with Justin through the phone and took up a portion of his day with beginner questions. He was very patient and really knew his stuff. He made suggestions based on my budget and together we worked out the perfect setup for where I live and how I fish. Shipping was fast and easy. Give them a shot, they won't let you down.

Wow! I called Mad River Outfitters today to get some advice on my next rod purchase and was on the phone for almost 30 minutes getting a ton of great advice. I got off the phone and purchased a TFO BVK on the website. MRO has my business from now on, even if they are a few states away. I'm blown away by the customer service!

Having not been in the store for years, it was great to return and see that it still is a really great operation. Very friendly staff and a good selection of merchandise. I know for some fly-fishing has a stigma, but if you're interested in learning, this is the kind of place that you can walk into and they won't make you feel stupid. They genuinely care about the outdoors and fishing and want to share.

I called MRO for some advice after making a online order and watching their YouTube series. Justin was the gentleman I talked with and Walked me through some rigging and river situations as if he was guiding me over the phone. He was honest, polite, and just shared the love of fly fishing! Thumbs up to this place and will definitely see my business from northern Wisconsin again!

This place is top notch for gear and fly tying supplies. Everyone here is very knowledgeable and eager to help when you have questions. Their YouTube videos on fly fishing is the best I've come across when learning to fly fish and learning how all of my gear works. I live in Texas but went to them on a whim on a visit to see family in central Ohio. They are my go to shop for everything fly fishing. The store is a little hard to see from the road but worth the trip to go find them.

I initially purchase a fly combo setup online from MRO over the 4th of July. Given the holiday, I received a prompt update from Andy regarding my order shipment status. He was very knowledgeable, professional and patient with me as I am new to fly fishing. Thank you for all your help!
