Great practice, everything is handled quickly and professionally, and Dr Pence is always very thorough! (I have been going to this practice for over 12 years, and she has always provided this exceptional level of care!)

This was my first time here. The people are so friendly and efficient. They use the latest technology for eye exams. Very impressive. I also love that it is female owned and I learned that they try to use independent makers of frames and lenses. Their selection is excellent too.

Everybody at the front desk is so nice and helpful. A joy to be around. Also, I love Dr. Pence. Wouldn’t go anywhere else.

The entire office makes you feel welcome and comfortable. They are extremely competent; from the front desk and techs to Dr. Pence.

Very comprehensive exam without feeling at all rushed. Plenty of staff, lots of eyewear choices, relaxed atmosphere with easy, plentiful parking. Great doctors.

Dr. Pence is very capable, detail oriented professional. Her explanations of very complex issues are thorough and she makes certain the patient has a full understanding of their particular situation. Her staff is very capable and they operate as a team of eye care professionals. I have complete confidence in their care of my eyes.

Don’t go here for first time contacts. They won’t give you a prescription until you do a $100 contact fitting in addition to the contact appointment. They’re customer service is also terrible as are appointment reminders and general administration. Doctors are just okay. Don’t expect phone calls back when they say they will either. You’ve got to do all your own follow-up.

I’ve always had a good experience at Madeira Optical. Staff are friendly and the doctor was thorough and efficient. They have a good selection of glasses and can order contacts, however I do not feel pressured to purchase on site.

Dr. Pence did a great job optimizing my prescription. She was patient and precise and did a thorough job explaining my condition. This level of service is a rarity these days.

I Madeira Optical change their office location recently. I wasn’t aware of that and drove to the old location. When I arrived in time for my appointment with the optometrist, I called to inquire where the office is now located. The person who answered the phone told me that they have a strict 10 minute late policy and would not be able to see me because I would be late. I understand the importance of being on time and I respect their policy. But it would be nice if they would perhaps mention that the office location has changed when they sent out the text reminders to be on time for the appointment.

Dr. Pence and her team have been outstanding for their eye care, prescription and eyeglasses fitting for me. After retinal surgery and subsequent lens replacement surgery, Dr. Pence has been carefully monitoring my eyes for post-op complications, one of which she detected before I recognized any vision problems. It's reassuring to know that she is watching out for my eye health.

Dr. Malinda Pence and her team did an amazing job with my eye examination. Her team was considerate and kind to be around. Dr. Pence and the team did excellent job providing clear, and complete feedback that was easy to understand and their equipment was state-of-the-art.
