The HR lady is great. Everyone here was so friendly and caring. I would definitely trust having my loved ones here.

The long-awaited visit with Mama was well worth the wait. Ms. Pearl, Ms. Teresa, and
Ms Shannon all worked together to make the process run smoothly. Quick Covid test, electronic sign in and out, masks, hand sanitizer, and Mama's welcoming smile made this snowy day, 04-01-21, sunny and bright.

Most of the staff is attentive and really nice. The problem is the food and the dining room. If your looking for a place that will take care of your dietary needs and serve good food with alternate choices this is not the place to live. The dining room is closed a lot of the time and the food is fair to poor at best.

When I was here last week I saw so many maintenance people getting so much work done. It made be very happy and shows me that the new ownership cares.

If I could give this place -20 stars I would. As a former employee, will honestly say this is one of thee worst facilities I've been to in Ohio. This place give low quality care.it's hard working in a facility when majority of the staff is just there for a check. Even the doctor are rude and insensitive. I would highly recommend if you have family here that you removed them. They're always understaffed. Nurses are lazy, rude, and just there to get a and check. Along with the rest of the facility. Always run out of needed supplies. It smells bad.

It was emotionally draining working there for me, because I go above and beyond for my residents. Its hard trying to be a "team player" working with other CNA's who don't have the same heart as you. There is only so much you can do in a place like this. New management and nothing has changed. I feel so bad for the residents. I know my presence could make a difference, but emotionally it was too much for me.those people are not getting the quality of care they deserve. This place needs to be shut down! I don't understand how they're able to pass the state inspections.

If you have family at this facility, I would suggest you look into somewhere else. Especially if they can't do for themselves.if you can't afford to take your loved ones somewhere else, then I HIGHLY recommend you visit them DAILY to assure they're being cared for properly.

I worked here for 6 months and all I gotta say is wow. 100+ residents in the building and only a 3 or 4 aides. I’ve been here when there was only 1 nurse in the entire building. In the 6 months I was there we went through 5 DON’s no one stays. Management is a joke. Constantly messing people’s pay checks up. Roaches everywhere and smell is horrible. I left due to someone threatening me while I was working. Too ghetto for me

Three stars, under staffed. When I visit my Mom, I sometimes mop her room, because it reaps of urine’ I bathe her and change her clothes, when I can find her clothes. I don’t mind doing these things, I love my Mom. But most if not all the clothes the family has bought her have disappeared. “Dementia Unit”

Since December, the place has gone down hill really bad. Not enough staff and most of the ones there, meaning aides, hide or blatantly sit and play games on their phone. They must not be trained on patient policy. The things that they say to my friend, who is a patient there, are totally out of line. My friend is a vegetarian, and his diet is atrocious. He barely gets any protein, never a banana, but he did get 2 strawberries this morning.
Please train your aides on treating the patients with respect, and to not make fun of them. Bullies don't belong in care facilities.
It was pretty decent when it was Heartland, but not since this corporation took over.

BEWARE! Administrators must be making false reviews. Step one foot in this place and you will see why. This place is the biggest dump I have ever seen. No gloves or soap in my mother's room. Oxygen equipment did not work. The entire place was filthy. I was personally told that 1 nurse had 25 patients. Got my mom out of there within 14 hours. Thank God!

This place is horrible. Yes they have changed owners but only time will tell. They have no permanent staff. They have run out of food. They forget or just blatantly dont deliver food trays to the residents that can't help themselves. They have lied about giving medication, putting the patients at risk. They have agency people that don't want to work there. The ratio aides to patient has been 1 to 18 or 1 to 28 which is ridiculous for a skilled nursing facility where a lot of patients need 2 people to assist them. I have a loved one there now and we are trying to get them out of there. This is a poorly run facility!

Communication IS the key. Accountability to detail IS tantamount. Document each call with contact persons name, date, and time. Follow up on drs appointment times, availability of transportation, as well as escorts. It's the patient whose care should be foremost in mind. Short Staffing issues is responsibility of management, always. Patients should not have that as a stressor. Upon improvement, rating will be adjusted.

Staying here was a horrible experience. The room was old and dated. They are very understaffed. The food was disgusting and because of a strict diet I follow I made simple requests like fruit or steamed vegetables which turned into me not being served several meals. And on top of that they requested to hold my medications during my stay which resulted linto my medication being stolen.

My aunt was here for 3 weeks. I must say, I have been extremely satisfied with her care. Its a small facility, and my aunt had her own room, which there are many single rooms. Every time I visited and had questions, every member of the staff stopped what they were doing to answer my questions and concerns, no matter their position. They listened and answered me with patience and understanding. I would like to thank, Terri, and the other nurse that was sitting with Terri at nurse station) Shannon, Julie, Veronica, her PT therapist, (can't think if his name, caucasion with dark hair), the african American nurse on staff, the Friday night my aunt was admitted, she had just come on duty, and was wonderful. Everyone at this facility was and are wonderful. I am planning my aunts respid stay there, later this year. Keep up the good hospitality!

Heartland of Madeira took great care of our family member. Great customer service and professionalism from all staff. We really enjoyed working with Andre from Admissions and Social Worker, Shannon. They both went above and beyond on several occasions. Overall a great experience and would highly recommend this facility to anyone.

I didn’t know what to expect from the Heartland of Madeira.
My mom was diagnosed with stage 4 melanoma cancer the day after Christmas, which came as quite a shock. How could this be? !
She and my dad were still living in my childhood home, and she was his caregiver 100% of the time since his dementia diagnosis four years prior.
By the end of January, my sisters and I had two patients needing 24/7 care, so we took turns staying with them. During that time, my mom asked me to find a place for my dad, so I casually mentioned the Heartland of Madeira because the proximity to my home. I had only been there to vote, so I had no idea if this was the right place for my dad! She insisted, so I called and spoke with Andre Gibson, that’s when I knew everything was going to be ok.
My mom passed away Feb 6th.
I felt like I had been sent two angels, Heather and Andre. Not only did we have a funeral to plan, we had to take my dad to the hospital because he had fallen. When Heather learned that we were at Jewish Kenwood ER, she made a point to stop by and greet me with a much needed HUG and kind words. I was able to be totally present for my mom’s visitation and funeral because I knew Heather was overseeing my dads care and keeping me updated. What an Angel!
When I took my dad into Heartland, Andre greeted us with the most heartfelt welcome and showed us to his new room. He truly cares for his patients and their families. Actually, he speaks kindly to all the workers!
My dad is being taken care of, and that’s what my mom wanted for him. Regardless of what kind of day my dad is having, the staff is equipped to handle every situation. That’s a blessing!

My sister Ruthann Scott is currently a resident at Heartland. I can't begin to express how pleased I am with the facility. They have always taken good care of my sister, I have no complaints. Shannon Halpin her social worker is fantastic. She has always been there for Ruthann and the family. The nurses do a very good job. Mary, Paula, just to name a few. I thank all of you for doing such a great job keep up the hood work.b blessed Karen
