Mae Fence Company, Fulton OH

We hired Mae Fence Company to install a wooden fence for our house with a very difficult HOA. We are giving Mae's Fence 4 stars instead of 5 is due to a horrible experience with the initial fence install. Our HOA gave the option of installing a fence same as the golf course OR the HOA-approved fence. They did neither. Needless to say it was very exhausting dealing with the HOA and the aftermath of the community furious about our fence. But Mae's Fence worked with us all the way and they did everything in their power to remedy their mistake. The owner/manager came out to our home, inspected the fence, gave us his personal cell phone number and gave his word this would be fixed. They ended up coming back twice to repair the fence. We especially appreciated Melina's compassion and professionalism when speaking with us. She never sounded annoyed and was always apologizing profusely for the errors. I think it's fair to say that people make mistakes and for the sheer volume of business that they do, it will be difficult to not have a few misses. What's important is their commitment to their clients to remedy the errors and walk away giving us a perfect fence for our home. The workmanship in the last team was amazing. We are overall very satisfied with our experience with Mae Fence.

I had a fence put in by Mae about 5 years ago. It still looks and functions great. Recently, the spring on one of the door latches popped off so the door will no longer latch closed. I consider this normal wear and tear of using a fence door multiple times a day for several years. I called Mae to ask for a replacement spring since that was all that I needed and I figured I could do the replacement myself. A week later Dan and Josh showed up and completely replaced the hardware on the gate.

I recommend them for their fence quality, value, professionalism and hands down the best customer service someone can experience. Way above and beyond!

I had Mae Fence install a wood fence 2yrs ago. One of the 4x4 support post has already broke. 2 phone calls and an email and still no response.
As you can see Mae Fence responded to the review. I emailed Melina with info she requested, but now no contact again. It's been over a week and 2 more emails, but no response. Horrible customer service! 7/2/2020.

We ordered vinyl fence beginning of June. Given July 31 as install date. Very late afternoon
July 30 receive call from company that there aren’t coming due to not receiving vinyl yet. We are # 2 on the list. Can’t give me a new installation date?
They have our money yet we aren’t given an installation date? The young lady wasn’t at all helpful.
Also, called sales rep back in June to check on size of gate. Left a message on his voicemail and have never received a return call.

My wife got a quote from this company because they have installed the majority of fences in our neighborhood. We got several quotes from several different companies and after I personally talked to the sales guy, Kevin, we were happy to go with them. The install date was a little further out than we loved (our kids running amuck 24/7) due to a vinyl shortage that I was told was due to COVID, but all of the other companies were way further out and Mae's price was on point. The staff was pleasant to deal with and the job (white vinyl privacy fence, 187 linear feet) was put up in one day, done deal. Absolutely recommend Mae Fence.

We bought a cedar privacy fence from Mae Fence about 10 years ago. The fence is still standing and looks great. Wellll.my husband (a real handyman ;) MAY have backed a tractor into one of the posts recently, which cracked and was left leaning. I knew that the fence was out of warranty but I called them a request a repair on the fence. I was told that they were extremely busy and that there was a wait of a few weeks, but, the owner actually ended up giving us the material for free! How much more awesome can you get than that? Glad we went with Mae Fence! Recommend!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR YOUR FENCE. If I could give this company ZERO stars I would. I was promised great quality wood that would last up to 30 years, but after less than one year of having the fence, it is bowing, splitting and just not level anywhere. There is also Chinese lettering printed all over the wood which makes it look even cheaper. We have called the company NUMEROUS times and they either wouldn’t call back or would send people out without any notification whatsoever. We made an appointment with the owner, Tim, who came out unannounced and only approved a few pickets to be fixed, when in reality, the whole fence needed replaced. He never came to our door to speak with us about it, nothing. We don’t even have evidence that he really came, just hear say by Melina. Even the repair crew who came out to fix the pickets said it looked awful. They told us that this company hires subcontractors to basically throw up these fences in a couple of hours leaving them with all their mistakes to fix. These subcontractors left dangerous debris in my yard, including nails, for my young children to step on. They cut the post caps with a chainsaw instead of the “cutting edge technology” described on their website leaving my post caps splintered, split and uneven. For the price we spent, we expected so much more out of this company. The lack of professionalism and accountability this company demonstrates is sickening. This company is a joke and everything they say/advertise is FALSE.

Had a cedar fence installed about two weeks ago. Waited to write a review immediately because, even though the fence looked beautiful, I wanted another gate put on the east end of the house and wanted to see how it would go.
Dealing with them was pleasant. The company is obviously knowledgeable about what the do and very friendly. Can tell they are family owned in how they dealt with me.
They came on out and slapped the additional gate on a few days ago and we're happy as can be. They'll be doing a fence for my parents come spring.

I had a cedar fence put up by Mae Fence last fall. I was told I had an instillation date a little later than I expected because they were very busy, but in the end it was well worth the wait.
The crew showed up early and got the job done a little after noon. I didn't expect the job to be done in one day, but it was!
It's a gorgeous fence.
After some winter weather we had some issues with our gate, I called Whitney in the office and she had someone out there the next day while I was at work. Great Service!

Poor communication. Reached out for a free estimate that was advertised in a mailer. Got a response asking for my availability, which I responded to with multiple days and no one ever got back with me. Reached out again to follow up and still nothing. Not chasing a company down to give them my money.

What a great team! Whitney is a gem, Adam is a hoot and Tim is as a straight a shooter as they come. These guys care about what you want, getting the job done, doing the job right! AND - they'll make you smile every step of the way. Real People helping Real People. I love them to pieces and they do GREAT work! I can't recommend them enough!

I could not be happier with our fence and the price we got it for. We did our homework and interviewed 4 different companies, Kevin was our rep and he was super helpful. We chose an all cedar fence and they were still by far the lowest price. I had ZERO bad experiences with them and they also got our association approvals.

The sales guy was in a rush and coul6be bothered to talk out details and flat told me no on a modification the owner later approved. The installers arrived and had no idea what the job was. The wood is super rough, splintered and untreated. The wire "mesh" is bent and uneven. The gate is, likewise, uneven and will need shoring up. When I tried to call, I almost never got an answer, even when attempting to make the final payment. I'm sorely dissatisfied.

Attention to detail - Mae Fence Company! From the checking of the permit requirements with the town to arriving on time to reviewing the installation in detail to a beautiful fence installed in a day 250Ft. Lastly, they left the site as clean as they found it. Great Job!

This company has VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! The company showed up to complete my job with the incorrect order, the office called and rescheduled and on the day of installation when the appointment time came I called only to be informed by Jeanette that the material was not available yet Adam who ordered the material had scheduled the appointment stating that the fence would be available. It was then rescheduled for 2 days later, the job was partially completed and the installers promised to return the following day on a Friday to complete the job. On Friday NO CALL NO SHOW, I called more than 10 times and left 2 messages before Adam eventually picked the phone, stated the installers would come Saturday and would not commit to a time! Saturday was another NO CALL NO SHOW and their office closes and noon! Multiple calls made and no answer! On Sunday, unannounced without an appointment the crew shows up to complete the job.
The fence looks nice but the crew did not clean after themselves where they were loading from. From my experience with this company and particularly Jeanette, Whitney, Adam and Matt, I do not recommend this business. I tried asking to speak to the owner on multiple occasions but he was never available. I have never been so frustrated working with a company like I was with Mae Fence. Their customer service is really bad. Monday Whitney called for the payment, no apologies, I paid them but regret doing business with them because even someone doing you a favor for free should not be treated the way I was treated by this company for a paid service. I will never do business with this company and even if my fence needs repair I will pay another company to do the repair.

Matt the salesman was horrible. Didn't even show for the initial meeting, and tried to arrange everything through text. I had to try and get him to give options or explain the process, which was too much of a bother for him. As he never answered my questions, and instead turned to insult and rudeness, I refused to work with him any further.

Jeanette and Whitney were helpful in getting things straightened out, but the communication to the crew was still lacking.

The crew, while pleasant, came uninformed and needed to modify the install as they didn't have the proper panels or info. They also seemed rushed, as they only installed part of the fence to follow the ground contour, and tried to hide the gap with soil. They left the yard a mess, and piled the extra dirt behind/beside the fence, dumping on city and neighbors property. The work agreement clearly stated the soil would be cleaned and removed. They also left @25 nails.

After a couple unanswered emails, they did come to clean the soil piles. After seeing they were trying to throw the dirt around, I had to tell them they couldn't do that, and they had to take it away. When I asked about the other issues, the crew guy asked why I didn't just build it myself then.

Overall, this company just has too many issues for me to recommend or use again.

Contacted Kevin with MAE Fence for a 5ft Pool fence that met BOCA specifications. He was a pleasure to work with, was knowledgeable, and quoted me a very reasonable price! (I received 5 quotes). Jeanette scheduled our install and everything was taken care of from there. The crew was awesome and professional. I had water lines due to the pool and an irrigation system and not one line was damaged. The fence passed inspection and looks amazing. I highly recommend Mae Fence and you won't be disappointed.

I lined up to have a fence installed for my parents, who live in Columbus, and even though I waited a month for the cedar fence to be installed (I was told they were extremely busy) it was well worth the wait! The fence looks gorgeous, we are beyond grateful to have come across this company! 10/10 would recommend

From beginning to end, the folks at were very professional and did a great job. Matt came a few days after calling for a review of the yard and a quote. He was on time, and the review was quick and easy. I told him I was still looking around and would get back to him shortly. After deciding to go with Mae due to cost and what I believed to be great quality, we had our date scheduled and only had to wait around 6-7 weeks. Day of installation only took ~4-5 hours, They showed up right around 9: 00am and got straight to work. I had a few questions on gate placement, the crew answered that. About an hour in, the post hole digger cut my internet line (minor disruption), that wasn't the best, but they had it repaired within 30 minutes and I was back online. After installation, we walked the fence, everything looked great. There was still some dirt around the post holes (to be expected), but they had removed the large mounds of dirt, which was great. They cleaned up and headed out, and we are very happy with our fence!

We had our chain link fence and gate replaced. I stayed home to discreetly monitor the installation and to avoid miscommunication. I’m very happy with my fence
