Maki Mentor

I am not sure if anyone knows driving past and the sign on the window is misleading. BUT they do have an impressive dining room, and it is not all sushi. Granted they have a great variation of sushi. It was mine and my husbands first trip there Tuesday. We met for lunch, it was AMAZING. I had Pad Thai for my first time ever, the portion was huge, I had some for dinner and lunch the next day. For both of our meals and drinks we spent under $30, which we had subs the day before and it was over that! My ONLY suggestion would be to expand the alcohol choices. It would most certainly help with the dinner business.

Everything was super fresh and flavorfully delicious! Came with my husband and neither of us wanted to share that much because we both enjoyed our own dishes so much! The server was incredibly warm and welcoming. Definitely recommend this place!

If you love traditional Japanese food there is absolutely no where else better in Ohio. Come to maki the $6.50 Boston roll is incredible

I love everything about it! The food was delicious. The variety of the menu is great. Service and atmosphere is great. I try something different I time I go. Very friendly staff. It's my go to place!

The service was good and they serve some of the better sushi in Mentor. Good to try and form your own opinions on.

Not only was the food absolutely phenomenal, The people were very polite and personable they also gave amazing recommendations on menu Items! We drove almost an hour and will most definitely be returning!

This restaurant exceeded expectations. I was pleased to learn they serve drinks (my party was all in the mood for a cold beer), and the prices were reasonable. The takoyaki was so delicious and had a good amount of chicken and shrimp in it. We all commented on how smoky (in a good way) the noodles tasted. We also had some sushi rolls, and I enjoyed them. The service was very good and the music they were playing (piano covers of pop hits) was relaxing. I’ll be back.

The general tso chicken is to die for! It's crunchy and delicious! And their Phó is excellent and warm and delicious! Great little spot to get a quick bite to eat!

Horrible Customer service. My family of 4 came for dinner. My husband and son got their food 20 minutes before my 8 yr old daughter and I did. They had finished their meal by the time we got ours and they refused to do anything to fix the situation. Will never step foot in this place ag

Excellent food. Quick service. Can’t beat it, some of the best pho I’ve ever had.

Food is not bad but wait time is ridiculous. It had been 4th time they told me that I have to wait for sashimi order more than one hour while in the restaurant sitting in. Not only I did not get my dinner, they even charged me for my tea. Like, common, seriously? I had enough. There are better options around the town.

Been here twice, and the food was amazing both times. Some of the best sashimi I’ve ever had, caviar was delicious too. And the takoyaki with bonito flakes was very good as well!

Maybe I should move to Ohio. Dumb jokes aside, this was one of the best experiences I've ever had with restaurants. Emily (the waitress) was phenomenal and it blows my mind how seafood can taste so good smack in the middle of north America. Thanks guys, that was fantastic

Best fish and service around! The sashimi is always fresh - and Erwin is choppin it up back there. Would absolutely recommend this place anytime!
