Marc's Stores reviews
16This is a great Marc's. Whoever does the hiring does a great job! The employees are so nice and helpful. They have a great deli, really knowledgeable and ready to give suggestions. Their shelves are always well stocked and prices are very reasonable. I do most of my shopping here and suggest it to my friends and family. Good job!
Most of the time I have come across food that is the day of expiration or PAST expiration. Today I found a Welch’s juice that was 9 months past. And produce goes faster than other stores, including aldis. But the cashiers are very nice.
The prices are descent and since they have set up a different layout you can actually get through an isle, but the cashiers have sloth blood running through their veins. With the exception of right before closing and in the mornings on the weekday, even if you have one person in front of you buying somesmilk and eggs and you are still looking at 10 minute wait before it's your turn.
DO NOT PURCHASE MAKE-UP! They do not exchange or return make up like every other major store in the USA. They Loss a customer over a 8.00 return. SHAME SHAME SHAME ON MARC'S AND THEIR CORPORATE OFFICE FOR NOT POSTING THIS POLICY!
This is an OK place to shop in a pinch. The North Olmsted location is one of their better locations to be fair. I only really go here now for their pharmacy and to buy pop if they have good sales. Their pharmacists are often very nice especially since I have been using this pharmacy since I was younger. There is only one older pharmacist who gives me a hard time or is short with me when I see her. Unfortunately I do not like shopping here for groceries because of their low quality meat and deli products. Their prices on their meats aren't even that much less expensive than Giant Eagle. For the extra dollar I would rather go there and at least know that my meat will taste better. My mom doesn't even like their meat and she isn't the most picky customer when it comes to quality. It is fun to look through their close outs when you have the time. I have found some hidden treasures here. Overall it isn't the cleanest place and I really don't like giving Marc Glassman our business especially after he threatened to sue my grandmother after she fell in the North Olmsted location back in 2008. Poor woman is still trying to pay off the medical bills from that fall and it was definitely not her fault as there were no wet floor signs present. Bottom line is that you can definitely get better quality food/groceries for probably even better prices if you do your homework. I also recommend looking into Marc Glassman's history if you care about fair treatment for employees and customers.
Went in to shop twice and each time the employees were rude to me. I’m sure it was a race issue due to other ethnicities being ahead of me and got better treatment but I definitely won’t be shopping there again.
1. Liked the toys aisle as I was able to get some good priced toys for my young son.
2. Store has smaller choice on veggies compared to the other stores near by.
Marc's is well-known for low prices and interesting finds in their closeout section. Produce is surprisingly good for their "cheap" reputation. In general, selection is somewhat limited, so we have to go elsewhere for some spices, foods for specific dietary needs, etc.
It's been awhile since I've shopped at this Marc's. Thank you for finally taking credit cards and mobile payments (Apple Pay)!
Good Marc's store. Kept clean and stocked well. Usually not too long of a wait in checkout and helpful staff.
Love the store but lately it smells like the floors are cleaned with a sour mop. You get used to it after 10 minutes or so, but maintenance crew could do a better job. Noticed it last two or three times I visited. Thinking of going elsewhere.
RUDE MANAGERS, RUDE and incompetent workers, I will never shop at the place ever again! I hope it closes!
My deli experience made this Marc's visit less than satisfying, didn't realize till I got home putting my purchases away that I didn't received what I had asked for, very disappointed.
I like the stores overall quality, I don't like that they only take cash or discovery, no visa or master card. However, there prices on several items are lower than giant eagle.
I'm slowly coming around to not despising this place. Cheap prices. Decent selection of fruit, poor selection of veggies. Not a huge variety of meat, but priced right. It's no frills, but it gets the job done when I don't want to drive to a Heinen's or need a few basic items.
Accepts only cash, check, or Discover. It may save Marc's money on transaction fees, but it's pathetic.
