Marion County Historical Society reviews
4Open 1pm-4pm Wednesday thru Sunday, costs $6 for an adult. Price tag includes a tour of both Heritage Hall and the Marion Popcorn museum, a Woodland Elves and telephone collection, a mock general store, president Harding and Mary Ellen Withrow exhibits, as well as a slew of others. Tour guide was knowledgeable and excited to talk about a variety of topics. Much larger than I expected. We spent about two hours inside. Free fresh-popped popcorn on your way out. Great way to spend $6. Currently seeking volunteers.
What a neat museum. There were so many different display to see and so much to learn about Marion County.
It's the best! Last year for labor day we took whole family to the renovated Harding Home and went to taste of Memphis for dinner. On memorial day we are taking everyone here for a tour and out to dinner.
Let's clear some things up: there's one building here that contains both the Wyandot Popcorn Museum and the collections of the Marion County Historical Society. You pay one admission fee, and the popcorn museum is essentially just one room (albeit a very large room) of a larger local history museum. The best stuff here is in the basement: they have a fantastic collection of Warren G. Harding stuff, a much better collection than at the nearby Warren G. Harding presidential museum and library. And yes you still get a box of popcorn with your admission.
