I hired Mark Collins to defend my son who was charged with a felony drug case in Columbus. When I hired his firm he stated that my son would not be sentenced to Mandatory Prison Sentence. Throughout his court proceedings I along with several witnesses were told the same by his staff. On January 23, Collins said " if my son didnt accept the state plea deal he was withdrawing from my son case and the deal would be off the table. Collins stated my son would then face from 6 to 11 years in prison and the judge wasn't going to continue his case.
My son feels he was pressured into his plea agreement.
When I expressed my concerned because I along with other family members were told false statements from the beginning to the end of my son case.
