Girls nose was running and felt like I was getting the weakest 90 min massage ever. Didn’t even do the full body like I asked. I didn’t complain because she should of called in sick.

Think Twice Before Buying Their Subscription Service!

Back in September of last year, I had the idea to subscribe to their monthly massages. They said you could transfer them to other people, so I was going to save up my three massages from Oct, Nov, and Dec to give as Christmas gifts. When I signed up, I was warned that because they were considered medical massage, a doctor’s note would be REQUIRED to cancel my subscription. Everyone I’ve spoken with since agrees this is an.unusual policy, but okay. I sign up anyway and think that all is well.

The first issue I ran into is that you are only allowed to transfer one massage to another person per month, so I would not be able to give them all out in Dec as planned. I don’t remember being informed of this when I signed up, but I guess I should have asked; that one’s on me. Next, I learned that there is a $10 fee for transferring a massage which was annoying and I also don’t recall being told when I signed up, but it was still cheaper than buying the massages individually without the subscription so okay, maybe that’s another thing I should have asked about when I signed up.

At this point, since me and anyone I transferred a massage to only has a limited period of time to use them once I cancel, I was on the hook to keep my subscription for at least a few more months past Christmas to, one, give me enough time to give them out only transferring one per month and, two, to give my family enough time to use them as well. Monday of last week I went in with my doctor’s note to ask: if I cancelled now, would everyone still have at least a month to finish using their massages? The person I spoke with told me that the manager wasn’t there, but she would take my doctor’s note, keep it on file, and have the manager reach out to me when they were there. This is where the straw that broke the camel’s back comes in.

It is not until almost a full week later, this past Sunday, that I receive an email from Rachel at the store. She says: “when you cancel your membership in term with a doctors note, your cancellation is what we call an ‘immediate cancel’ This means your membership is immediately cancelled and any sessions on the account are lost. I wanted to make sure you had a good understanding of this BEFORE (my emphasis) I processed your cancellation. ”

Obviously I responded the next day letting her know that I wanted to hold off on processing the cancellation until I had had a chance to use my remaining 2 massages that were currently on file; one I had waiting to be allowed to transfer and one I had transferred, but that the person hadn’t used yet. To my great shock and dismay, Rachel then replies “Because you turned in a doctors note to cancel your membership stating you cannot be massaged (it didn’t, it said I didn’t REQUIRE massages medically because I never did. I didn’t NEED a doctor’s note to sign up in the first place.) I am unable to let you continue with your membership. ”

Look, I’m a reasonable guy. I don’t think I’ve ever even left a negative review before. I don’t like doing this, but this situation is absurd! I tried to follow procedure very carefully so as not to have anything get messed up only to be told that just by showing them this note I have automatically “lost” $110 worth of accumulated massages immediately with no opportunity for recourse. I feel like anyone would be upset by the way this situation has been handled. Maybe Rachel is just following procedures here, but then someone above her ought to step in and make this right.

Massage was ehhh.felt like I just had lotion slathered on me and nothing else. More (A LOT MORE) pressure could have been applied. Wouldn't recommend if you really need your muscles worked out/rubbed/manipulated.

OMG.worst experience don’t go here.the massage was not focused as they say it is. They take your information and don’t use it. I asked for my back to be focused on and they just do the same routine. They don’t listen to what you say. Never came back to walk through were muscles were tight just said it’s you back and walked out. Terrible.worst one I have ever been to. Never write a review but this was so bad I had to let folks know.call Corp on Monday

Messages are always good. Rather it's deep tissue or light pressure, always satisfied. Extra services are nice, but cost more then I thought they would. Will be returning sooner then later.

Asked a question about the difference between a chiropractor and a massage and the help was totally perplexed.

Don't waste your time. After messing with the app that doesn't work for about an hour to schedule, agreeing to ridiculous price, and entering my CC info so they can charge me if I cancel.they turn around and call me and cancel my appointment the day of. Where's my cancellation fee?

Great place! I always leave feeling wonderful. You let them know what your looking for as far as how much pressure you like and they are great with putting you with the perfect person.

Overpriced and staffed with people who don't always know what they're doing. The standards for this company aren't near high enough to justify the price.

I am a member so i get to go here quiet often. Massages are great depending on who is doing it.

I had a massage here once, it wasn't as enjoyable as I thought it would be.maybe, because it was my first and I didnt know how to fill out the questionnaire correctly. I would have liked more pressure on my muscles.

So far so good. I had two appointments. I can say full body is not the same full body. Miss the thighs and chest. Bearly touch the legs. I'm a truck driver gas break gas break pays a toll on ones legs.

Good massage, with no pressure to sign up for the monthly message.

The person I got did a great job but was a little heavy with the message oil. Came home and had to take a shower. To much oil.

My boyfriend and I visited Massage Envy @ the Greene on Tuesday as a belated birthday gift. It was a first time experience for both of us, so we were a little nervous and not sure what we were getting into. However, it was an awesome experience, and we both said we wish we could get a massage done every day! The beds were heated and the room was dimly lit with nice noises playing throughout our hour-long massage. Lori (sp?) and Evelyn were amazing, and asked several times throughout how pressure/etc.was to ensure a good experience. We were a little afraid with other bad reviews, but they didn't try to swindle us in to membership or anything, and we ended up having a wonderful time! Thanks for making our first experience a great one!

I absolutely love the staff at this place everyone has always been friendly! Jess is amazing and professional and very knowledgeable about skin care and does a great job of making sure she tells me what she's doing and all of her concerns on what to do to make my face feel great! She goes above and beyond to have me leaving there feeling amazing! I look forward to all my sessions with her!
