Matco Tools Inc reviews
8This company has one of the grimiest business models I've seen. Grab the cheapest garbage we can find, slap a name on it, finance it, put it on a truck, take it to struggling needy men who are rushed at work. Making what, 30% apr plus upcharge. Also take the payment straight from their check so the wives can't talk any sense into them? Imagine a man fighting a job for weeks and the tool he needs shows up and he can get it in his hands for nothing that day. Can you live without it, sure. But if it would make my life easier while I'm working in the middle of a job and I make a rash purchase, why not! Just like taking kids to a candy store or addicts to a dope house. Guys, just buy the tool online. You won't have to wait months for garbage.
Not good purchased a box locks were ineffective took a month damn near to get fixed at aplace where robbery is a common issue.now they say im behind but distributor says no.neither one is willing to call the other while im on the line.now they threaten to put me into collections because im late $190 but my dis. Alex Tracy confirms in text and i have SC that im not behind, after i called and said il pay weekly directly to them but needed an email confirmation that i wont be in collections.on 10/18/23 around 3-3: 30 pm lady said no she cant because Patti Ely wrote it up and she cant do anything but “yes whats my card number again? ” already got the paperwork ready to start disputing them with the 3 credit bereaus they really think they going to get away.filed BBB complaint as well they need a real manager to reach out to me still have the box still trying to pay but for now will change card number. GO W/ SNAP-ON! I tried saving but this is harbofreight customer service and scams learn from me
So I ordered two wrenches from them over three months ago, and the order confirmation number still says that the wrenches haven't even been packaged yet. What makes it even worse, is that this business is literally within a city distance from where I live. Absolute embarrassment.
Maximus 3 Scanner SUPPORT. Absolutely worthless, no help or support at all. Rep knows little to nothing, Reps at main office can't get rid of you fast enough.one star just to post.
Kevin said it all in his review do not but Matco tools they do not stand behind their product. I will never buy another tool from Matco. Our car charger worked for two months it has been at Matco repair for over a year and now they will not respond to our emails as to where is our charger.
Their customer service does not care about you or your business I've spent close to $20000 with them and my box has some defects in craftsmanship where paint and started to bubble and peel off resulting in rust in several locations all over the box including inside the box I've been told I will get a warranty box then they go back on their word and tell me they won't cover it and it has taken them since March of 2020 to just now decide to send someone to look at it in person but no guarantees it will get warrantied this company is a joke that does not care about you I recommend you get snap on or just about anything other than matco junk
This place is the worst sent product back unused in original packing and they have had it 2 weeks and still have not gotten a refund! Skip these tools buy from snapon or other places. Very poor customer service experience.
After spending a couple thousand dollars on a list of tools, my matco distributor took weeks and weeks to get me the tools. I get how busy the company can get so I’m not really concerned about that. But after trying out some of the tools and paying every week my distributor would maybe come once a month if I was lucky even if I texted him to try and get a hold of me. Then one of the universal chrome sockets broke that I was using and and I told him I needed a new one. After a month he said yeah it’s on order I’ll let you know when it comes in. After three months I told him I wanted to return them and they weren’t working well and he was not able to warranty a lifetime product. He finally came and took a look and said he would give me half price in truck credit to return them. Absolutely terrible for me to spend a couple hundred dollars to use a poor product and not be able to return it or get it warrantied. Just an unpleasant experience all around.
