3In terms of first year housing, not bad. Sound really bounces around off the cinderblock walls making it pretty loud at times. Washing machines on the first floor are a big plus.
The student housing at Kenyon is embarrassing. Let's be real: students are generally messy and destructive, but this not the issue. These buildings are bug infested and compare with summer camp lodging. Insult to injury when you consider the tuition rate and middle of nowhere location of this school.
My corridor was as represented; amenities not provided or expected. Other areas of this dorm & Caples had inconsistent water pressure; at one time Mather had only scalding water for showers, keys would not work on some door locks experienced on same room doors in 2017. One room thermostat in my corridor could not be reset from 78 degrees. Maintenance not requested in my corridor but not reliable in others.
