In danger of looking dated but definitely is a sprawling, full service resort! It has everything for a family reunion, wedding, or weekend away camping. Love all of the lake access. We will be back.

Remember to use ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙᴜʟʟʏ. ᴄᴏᴍ when booking a hotel. They compare countless booking websites and usually will have prices a lot cheaper than others! Thank me later! This hotel is one of the most well known in this area. I've been coming here for a very long time. If you stay for a few nights you for sure won't regret it.

Wanna relive dirty dancing but relevant to now? This is the place! Great family fun or couples getaway just have a plan for food it's hard to get the dining room on the phone.

Absolutely beautiful wedding venue. Food was delicious, roast beef with carrots/potatoes or chicken cordon blue. Get a room for convenience and enjoy the facilities.really lovely place with so much to do!

Wonderful experience with SO MUCH to offer! Nature walks, relaxing by the pool or hot tub, sauna, beach volleyball, horse shoes, running and cycling, shuffleboard, and much much more! All of this overlooks Lake Erie for an absolutely stunning view with amazing sunsets!

I didnot stay here.but visited this morning. After 90 minutes of being there I had seen enough of the unkept areas and absolutely disgusting restrooms on the main floor of the lodge. The restrooms on the main level by the restaurant has to be a breeding ground for germs. I will NEVER be back for anything here. Staff did not seem to care and there response was we are under staffed. Everywhere is understaffed, restrooms at the least need to be kept clean.

They have redone the rooms, and both the beds and the bathrooms are much nicer than they used to be. Like many other places right now, there is a little bit of dust around the edges, but it is still a great place to gather with friends and family to relax, hang out, and have fun.

Great place to stay. The staff was very helpful and our room was clean and updated. We loved the pools and the activities. The sunsets and sunrises here are incredibly gorgeous. It was a fun family trip.

We have stayed here a number of times for family vacations with my mom and dad. We normally enjoy it, but this year was somewhat of an exception. For one thing, they had severely limited the food choices in the restaurants such that we were not able to eat what we wanted, but the prices were very high. No one came in during our 3 night stay to clean our room.

We booked a two night stay with a weekend wedding party. We arrived at 3: 30 for a 4: 00 check-in. We paid and were told we would get a phone call when our room was ready. We also discussed the roll-a-way bed we had requested with our booking several months ago. An hour and a half later we still hadn't received a call. I checked at the desk and our room was still not available. We were given the suggestion of getting some dinner at the in house restaurant and our room would likely be available by the time we were done.

We went to dinner and arrived at 5: 45 just in time to order half off appetizers and a couple of drinks. We were seated immediately. Several servers waited tables around us but no one even came to get our drink orders. We have 3 children with us and they began to get restless and hungry. By 6: 30 we still had no one provide table service. I approached the next employee available and explained we have been sitting for 45 minutes with no service. The person I spoke with was a hostess who said she would look into the situation and get a waitress to our table. After 15 more minutes she returned and explained there were no servers to wait on us but she would try though she had never done it before. She was under age so we could not order adult beverages but we did order an appetizer and our food. It was now 6: 45. We waited another 15 minutes for our cheese sticks to arrive at our table. They were consumed quickly and we waited for our main courses to arrive. We waited another 30 minutes. At 7: 35 the meals arrived. This was now nearly 2 hours after arriving at the restaurant. While eating the meals I realized we still hadn't been contacted about our rooms. I was planning to charge the meal to our room but without a room number this would not be possible. So cash it would be. At 8pm we were done eating and the bill was paid including a nice tip for the underage hostess who had never been a server before.

We still hadn't received a phone call about our room but we couldn't wait anymore. I checked back in at the front desk and we were told our room was ready. No apologies for not calling. I confirmed the roll-a-way bed was indeed provided and we headed off to our room with our bags on a cart.

When we got to the room neither of the swipe cards provided were working so I headed back down to the desk for new keys. I was told that I had demagnetized them and I needed to be more careful. I explained I kept the keys in a back pocket by themselves and nowhere near a phone.

I returned to the room and the keys worked. Upon entering I discovered no roll-a-way bed in the room. So back to the front desk to request the bed again. I returned to my family in the room and discovered the room had not been properly cleaned. The floor had not been vacuumed, there were old fruit snacks on the floor and raisins on a chair. We didn't have enough towels for my family and I'm pretty sure the fridge was left empty. I hope we will not be charged for any supplies that were supposed to be present and weren't.

Later we all changed for swimming and had a great time. We returned to our room and were happy to see the roll-a-way bed.

The next day we were going to try the Café for lunch as we had such a bad experience the night before. However, the computer system crashed which somehow made the Café unable to open. So we returned to the restaurant for lunch. This time the service was good.

During our 2 night stay I spent nearly $600 between room charges, fees, taxes, and of course I'm still expecting mini-bar charges. I also spent another $200 on food, snacks, ice cream and on games in the arcade.

I don't think the accommodations were worth even half that. We had a magnificently horrible experience. We were made to think our problems were somehow self inflicted or that unemployed people refusing to work was to blame. No one accepted accountability for the way the complex was being run and no one even offered apologies. We will never return and will do all we can to make sure none of our friends or family ever give this resort another dime.

The lodge was great and the hall was a nice venue for the wedding that we attended. What I really came here to do though was leave a nice review for Roy the maintenance guy as I had to have him drill a new hole in my belt after I apparently dropped enough weight to make it loose LOL

I stayed at Maumee Bay Lodge on a Thursday night. I had car trouble enroute so I lost a lot of vacation time so I decided to just stay Friday night. Clerk found a room for double price but promised it would have a lake view. Told I had to check out Friday morning then check back in Friday night. Spent day at mechanic, museum, and dinner. Checked in at 7: 15 pm. Signed credit card charge. Handed key to room only to find it didn't have the lake view the same clerk had promised me the day before. I was not paying $310 just to sleep in a room with a view of a parking lot so I refused the room. Clerk and Manager offered no remedy and showed no remorse brushing it off that "mistakes happen". Didn't care that they wasted 30 hours of my time I could have been working to book a decent room elsewhere. Had communication with management that didn't care about the fact that I had to cut my vacation short one day because they gave my reserved room to someone else.

I do not recommend this hotel. Swim in the beach, watch the sunset, but sleep elsewhere. Clerk and her manager does not care if they inconvenience customers; and neither did the hotel manager when I related what happened. This business doesn't care if they hurt people. It's been a bad year with the pandemic and people just want to have some enjoyment- managers could have done something to make up for it but shrugged it off saying "Mistakes happen", and refused to do anything to attempt to make up for their "Mistake".

Wow! Awesome place! Thank you to all the kind workers, waitresses, and even the mowers. The mowers made sure they were not blowing towards my children or my car. Did not have to wait too long for our room. And the waitresses had way too many tables but treated everyone with respect. Cleanest Ohio Lodge by far.

We had a great room at a great price. The lodge is beautiful and spacious. We really enjoyed the boardwalk through the marshland.

I never stayed at the lodge. However, this is directed at the wedding coordinator not the lodge itself. I was trying to book my wedding venue at Maumee Bay Lodge. I took a tour of the place in the Fall of 2020. The woman that helped me then was super nice and helpful. (She no longer works at the lodge) She told me it was too far out to put down a deposit and that I had to wait 15 months to book anything. One month (June 2021) before I was able to book my wedding venue I wanted to know their process since the lodge only books on the 1st Tuesday of every month. I sent multiple emails, called numerous times with ZERO response. A week prior before the first Tuesday of the month I FINALLY was able to talk to someone. They said, "Oh, you're the one who keeps sending emails and calling? " and continued to tell me that it is wedding season for them and they are too busy to plan future weddings. They told me I had to call Tuesday (July 6th) then leave a voicemail with all the info for my wedding date. Naturally, I called first thing Tuesday at 7: 30am with all my info. They told me it takes a day or two to get through voicemails and then the coordinator will start calling to book wedding dates. It is over TWO weeks and I still have not heard from the lodge. I called on beginning of last week to see the status for putting down the deposit.they never answered the phone. This place is EXTREMELY unprofessional. If you have time to read emails and listen to voicemails, you have the time to answer back. PERIOD! I understand because of COVID weddings are pushed back. That is still no excuse for not responding to a potential client. This place definitely made me feel like they don't care about their job or clients. The only reason this place is getting one star is for Megan who helped me last fall. She was very sweet, helpful, and professional.

Very cool local getaway spot for a family or some friends trying to have fun for a few days. The place is about ready for an update, but for the price and proximity to home with outdoor options so close it's great
