MedVet Akron

This was our first experience at a MedVet facility, and we were very pleased. The staff were friendly and patient. The prices were explained to us every step of the way, and the cost was reasonable. The vet was thorough in her diagnosis and answered all of our questions. I would use this hospital again for my pets.

I had to take my cat, Hecate, in on a Sunday late morning. I expected a long wait; but he was taken back within 30 minutes and I was taken to a room. When Dr. Staats came in to discuss treatment options with me, she sat down, explained everything thoroughly, didn't pressure me into anything, was not rushed, and was incredibly kind, friendly, and professional.
They treated Hecate very well. Knock wood he's recovering!
The coffee area was very clean, as was the restroom, and patient room. The entire facility was clean. All the staff were nice, friendly, and understanding that you're there for an emergency, and therefore stressed.
Another ER vet in the area had wrongly told me this place had closed and they were the only ER vet in the area. I'm sooo glad I found out that was wrong! Whereas I don't want to return (I'm you understand), if I need to, I'll do so without hesitation!

Staff was quick to respond. Everyone who helped me was really nice. The Veterinarian explained everything clearly as well as the Vet Tech. Would definitely come back!

The workers at medvet akron were so so incredible when taking care of my miscarrying cat.they educated me so much and took such good care of her everytime we visited.they also discounted my final cost due to financial struggles which was so greatly appreciated.i am so lucky to live only 30 minutes from this incredible establishment and i would highly recommend anyone to take their pets here in emergency situations for thorough care!

Excellent and caring individuals at all phases of the care for my pet. Everything was explained throughout the experience. Given options and care instructions to take home. My girl is healing nicely. Thank everyone at MedVet.

We took our cat to the emergency room here. They took him right in and assessed his condition. They kept us informed and took great care of him. Just as importantly they took care of us as well. The staff is excellent, place is extremely clean, and is as comfortable for us humans as it is for the patients. Thank you

My dog was diagnosed with lymphoma and I brought him to the oncologist here. Awesome experience From the techs to the Dr. Everyone was so nice. The oncologist was so nice and informative. She even checked with me before running a test to make sure I was OK with the cost. My own vet doesn't even do that. My dog is my very best friend and hearing he had cancer was scary. She made me feel so much better about it. I wish I could remember the Vet oncologist name. 5 stars all the way

I called ahead to ensure that MedVet would be able to see my five week old kitten after he got hurt and had a bloody nose.the woman I spoke to on the phone was very caring and when I go there both desk attendants got up right away to get the vet and take my kitten back to get help. After getting checked, the vet came in to speak with me about what they found and she was absolutely amazing- not only did she show she cared just as much about my pet as I did, but she had the best demeanor of any vet I have ever taken a pet to. If your pet has an emergency situation, MedVet Akron is a great place to take them.

Yesterday was my first visit ever to MedVet. Everything was quick & efficient. I was there for a few hours, but I felt that my pet was well cared for during the time we were there.

The docs were amazing with Paco. All of the staff was friendly and kind. The vet did not run unnecessary tests. She conferred with another vet to evaluate him which helped her make her final diagnosis. Meds were giving and the aftercare instructions were easy to understand. They also sent a text message to follow up and see how he was doing. I will recommend them to my friends and family for emergency vet care.

Deaf, blind and paralyzed

August 22 evening I arrived at 9pm. It’s an ER and of course waiting is no surprise.

Deaf ears did not hear me say to them: “my puppy won’t move and her stomach feels tight- I don’t know if it’s bloated. ”

Many vet techs talked to me and asked questions. Took her away from me into back room and took vitals. Returned her to me and we waited until it was our turn. Past midnight- technically it was now August 23.

X-rays- told me nothing is broken. 2 weeks of crate rest and Carprofen and Gabapentin.
“Puppies are dramatic “.

Placing my trust in them, and I believed no broken bones.

Blind- all of the vet techs who handled my 7 month old puppy and the radiologist and the veterinarian.

She had no movement in her rear legs.

Big problem. Veterinarian was correct when she told me it was a spine injury.

Wrong that nothing was broken. Feel free to ask me how my puppy is doing.

The staff was extremely friendly, helpful and courteous. Although they were very busy the front desk staff did their best to keep everyone calm and situated. The explanations were thorough and the vet took her time explaining exactly what to expect for the procedures and the approximate time it would take for our pet's treatment. I would absolutely recommend them.

Worst experience at a Vet/ Pet hospital. Wanted us to spend so much money on tests he didn't need. Gave my dog a shot and oral meds that he is allergic to. Then said to bring him back if he has a reaction. Me personally, I'll never go back.

I can't talk about my experience with this place. My baby girl had many more years to be with me. 5 k later.she's in a box on my dresser.
