MedVet Columbus reviews
17Staff were so gentle and caring with my dog! He can get nervous with new providers and I appreciated their patience and grace given during his exam. I feel much better knowing that we have a treatment plan in place and that we will finally move towards a goal of a less itchy pit bull.
Is the worst emergency vet that i've ever been to. They left my sick dog sitting in the waiting room for 5 hours, claiming that it was better for him to be with me while they waited. They didn't run any tests to determine what was wrong with him. Once every other patient was gone in the facilIty, I asked on the wait time and they said it would still be an hour. Staff was rude and showed no care for my dog.
MedVet and their staff is amazing. We've only had a few emergencies over the course of 16 years and 3 Pups, but in those few times we were treated like family. Not to mention received amazing care.
Dr. Shaevitz took all the time I needed to answer my questions about our cat's condition, and to prep us with the materials we need to make a decision on his treatment. It's tough having a sick pet. It's priceless to have a doctor who has a sincere interest in helping make a decision.
Friendly. Clean. Punctual. Caring and compassionate. Dr Webb is a very competent ophthalmologist for my cat! Everyone makes all over my Eddie, and which helps him relax and enjoy his visit!
I brought my senior cat here on a Saturday for a cardiology appointment. The staff were very friendly and I felt very comfortable leaving my cat in their care. Dr. Giatis answered all our questions and talked us through possible diagnoses. They were always upfront about cost so there were no surprises. Overall it was a great experience. When I schedule another cardiology appointment, it will definitely be with this team again!
The best people, they kept us informed and were very kind when our dog became sick suddenly. 100% would recommend if your pet needs extra special care.
Our cat got a SUB (Subcutaneous Uteral Bypass) due to kidney stones in 2021 at MedVet and has been getting maintenance care there ever since. She's been thriving and doing very well post surgery. The Medvet staff has always been extremely helpful and prompt with answering questions about her condition addressing any concerns.
Dr Giatis is so knowledgeable and compassionate. He also has a wonderful staff that works with him. I love this cardiology team! My dog is in extremely capable hands at MedVet.
My dog, Penny, saw Dr. Aona for a heart condition. He is very professional and knowledgeable. He took the time to sit and explain everything to me and allowed me to ask questions. Very friendly and so were the support staff.
Everyone here was very compassionate and caring for my dog. I was very nervous about what to expect in terms of treating him for his cancer but left feeling much more optimistic about our chances. I can tell everyone here cares for their patients and am very comfortable leaving my dog here for treatments.
They are amazing. When the issue with my pet first started they made me feel more at ease about everything. Now that things are a year out, they still care not only about my wellbeing but my kitty’s. They are very knowledgeable and calming. Plus the fact that they remember my fur baby even a year later feels me with joy (him too, since he feels like everyone should remember and worship him anyway)
Always efficient yet caring and engaged.
Grateful for the compassion they always extend.
Dr. Aona has provided outstanding information regarding the progression my dog's mitral valve condition. We see him every six months for direction on her exercise and overall condition.
The entire staff, from the people checking patients in, to the triage nurse, to the vets, are awesome! They made sure my dog felt comfortable while we waited for a room. They took care of Luna and she's fully on the mend! This is the second time visiting, and I would recommend to anyone needing emergency pet care!
2 quotes before even bringing my dog and another quote from the doctor all the same but somehow the high end of all the quotes became the low end once the surgeon came in. Mind you the quotes were for three procedure options come to find out the option that would be best for her in my eyes was double the high end (12k). They ended up doing the surgery we could afford and the one they said was best for her. She’s 49lbs they said this would be the best fit for her because of her weight come to find out that the surgery was recommended for dogs under 45lbs and that were very active. This place is outrageously expensive because they know we have absolutely no choice.
