Meineke Car Care Center, Kenwood OH

I brought my car in because my breaks were locking up and they told me repairs would be $3,000. Mistakenly trusting them to fix my car, I agreed to this. They called me a week later to say that the car was fixed. When I took it back on my 5 minute drive home, it broke down on me with the same issue. So either they did the worst job ever of test driving it or they knew it was still defective and just wanted to get my payment on file. They then told me to go the dealership, who charged me $2,000 to fix it. So yes, I actually paid more for them to not fix my car than for the dealership to make the correct repairs. Fully knowing all the details, they then only offered me a $500 refund. The one manager apparently didn’t think I was entitled to any kind of a refund (not sure if it’s normal for him to charge people $3,000 without actually fixing their car). It’s pretty clear nobody here cares about anything other than the bottom line. Just go straight to the dealership, skip the middle step of having these guys charge you thousands of dollars to refer you there.

Refused to honor an existing muffler on my wheelchair van from another Cincinnati shop, on the pretext that "if the original shop where the work was done in less than 50 miles away, it has to be done at that shop. " When I explained that the original shop did not have a muffler tech on duty that day, and that I urgently needed the van to transport my disable son to an urgent medical appointment that afternoon, they shrugged and said there was nothing they could do. I will NEVER use Meineke again, and plan to spread the word about their shabby business practices far and wide on the internet.

Promplty got me in, comparable affordability, kind and efficient. Will definitely continue to use.

Edit: Possibly had a correlated car complication after an oil change due to re-attachment of a panel, but the manager is being reasonable to work with to remedy.
The whole team was great to work with and responsive to someone who doesn't know much about cars.

Customer service was very uncaring from check in to check out. David should not be representing the company when it comes to women. Very nasty didn't explain the oil change process once he became upset that I did not want to have my email on file, which it already is, so therefore my tires didn't get rotated. I tried informing before hand. Then tried to offer feedback once I saw it wasn't automatically included in my oil change. He went and said something to the tech, they laughed and my oil change light was not reset. My husband had to take the car back because I came home crying and upset behind a MANAGERS actions. I was on my lunch break and didn't have time to have my car put back up to rotate tires not did I want to after the verbal abuse I was receiving. He should know listening is apart of his roll and especially to Customers.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! Called to ask if they plug tires, "yes we do bring it on up buddy". After driving on low tire with screw hanging out, guy who I talked to said "sorry we can't plug tire". Went across street and got er done. (5 min) The guy that answers the phone dam near hit the side of bldg with my vehicle which I had to "SCREAM" "STOP", or he would have hit bldg. (screw was visible where vehicle was parked but he had to pull it inside, weird.
YOU WASTED MY TIME. AND YES PLENTY OF TREAD WHERE SCREW WAS AND TIRE HAS PLENTYOF LIFE LEFT! (Its obvious why they only had 1 person working in shop!).

Quick service, was able to get an oil change appt same day, reasonable price. Will be back!

These guys are awesome. Had my car in and out and the embarrassing rattling of my heat shield is gone!

Found David, I think that's what his name was, to be very professional and trustworthy. I had estimates for exhaust system work over $1,000 and he told me there was no reason to replace the muffler, which the other places wanted to do, and save me about $500. Finding a trustworthy place to take my cars is of the utmost importance to me and this Meineke will get my future business.

Overall customer service was great! Got me in and out and gave me info for next oil change.

Took my vehicle in for the free AC inspection because it was blowing hot air. I was told that everything was working fine and it needed charged. $215 later I was out the door. Next day, the air was blowing hot again.

Dave and his crew are incredible. The service is excellent and Dave is always really welcoming. He explains everything to me and breaks it down very patiently. I won't go anywhere else now.

I had to have my brakes done and new tires. Staff is friendly and professional, explaining what had to be replaced. I was treated wonderfully. I recommend this shop and will return when needed.

We were in Cincy for the weekend, and we are from Columbus.
We needed a flat tire repaired depserwtely, and didn’t have a whole lot of time to spare.
David got us in very quickly, and repaired our tire in. A very short time.

I was worried about my high mileage 2005 Yukon shooting smoke at startup and burning oil. There is a chemical additive service that they explained it works with these situations by sealing and lubricating seals So far it worked.
I am glad for their experience and service. They were very helpful and respectful.
