The staff at Mercy West Green Township Ohio are FABULOUS! I had my mother there for both of her Covid vaccines. We had Nurse Kendra (badge said Contractor). She is so wonderful! She remembered my mother from weeks prior, was very kind, caring and professional! The entire staff at the hospital was so impressive.from the valet parking to security to nursing staff, just a great experience! Thank you Nurse Kendra and the entire staff at Mercy West!

My wife and I went for an induction on Jan 12th at midnight. Upon arriving and being checked in my wife was given medication to start her induction. We were not explained what the medication was and later found out it was cytotec several hours later. As the labor progressed we encountered a nurse how performed a cervix check that left my wife in extreme pain and crying uncontrollably. She wasn’t warned beforehand about the possibility of it being incredibly painful. This left her extremely upset and in incredible pain. Following shift change a wonderful nurse named danyelle took over my wife’s care and provided nothing but exceptional care. Following the birth we were moved to a second room to finish out our stay and we’re discharged on the 14th. I would only recommend this hospital for l and d if you are able to get danyelle as your nurse otherwise another option might be better suited.

Thought my husband was having a stroke because he couldn't walk. I normally have him taken to another hospital, but the squad wanted to take him to Mercy West. So, I let them. The next day he was discharged saying it was the COVID shot that caused it. I asked them if he could walk and they said yes. Well, he can't! I will never go to them again!

My diabetic step father was in this hell hole 4 days without receiving food or seeing a doctor. Made to wear the clothes he came in with the entire 7 day stay. No apologies given. The worst hospital around. Deserves zero stars. Horrible care. He could've died. We had to call at least 5 different ppl to make the staff aware that he was unfed & unseen. Had we not, he'd probably still be unseen. Unbelievable how this hospital operates. All the horror stories you hear are true. Zero communication. Zero professionalism.

The staff go to the extreme to be helpful and friendly. If you have questions or concerns everyone is willing to help. I have never had to wait more than a few minutes for any scheduled appointment.

Nearly died from lack of care. I am a type 1 diabetic and my insulin pump failed. Went in for hyperglycemia. As my body was shutting down and each muscle and organ was failing, I was in extreme pain. It took 2 hours of me screaming in agony for a doctor to see me. When he did, he administered pain meds to which I fell into a coma for 3 days. Thats not the worst part. When I awoke, they said they needed to see how my blood sugar reacted to food. They fed me, and were supposed to bring insulin within 2 hours. They did not. I went hyperglycemic again and they said they had to keep me again. This went on for 3 days until I had a family member sneak me in insulin to self administer. Then I was released. Bill was $34,000 with insurance that paid 90%. It was all wrote off after my primary care doctor called them out on their mistakes.

I am giving 3 stars now because I did finally hear back and for the OB's that work here, they are amazing. My wife was taken by ambulance from another emergency room and immediately taken to a room. She was pregnant, severely dehydrated and vomiting nonstop for over 8 hours. When placed I in the room, no one came in for over an hour. When they came in with medications, they went to scan her bracelet and realized she hadn't been given on yet. Yes after an hour. The nurse made sure to state that they never have pregnant people on this floor. An OB shows up and stated that she was there to advocate for us, because if she didn't nothing would happen. The third day there, my wife started complaIning of pain in her hand. The nurse finally looked and her IV went bad. I have pictures of how swollen her hand got because of this. Over night, the other IV went bad. Then for over 8 hours, I kid you not, no one came back in to hook up an iv. II was so frustrated, I called the OB on call. Staff overnight said that they would do the same thing. The OB called and said she was going to have labs done and send a hospitalist on call in. A couple hours later, I asked the nurse about the hospitalist. She stated that the Dr.never responded to the email, probably because it was a non emergent case. Finally, after two more days without an IV, my wife started getting better. It was over a 2 week recovery at home, but at least we were out of that place. I hope no one has to go through what we did. Also, one of the nurses, Sandra, left her work phone on the table in the morning for a few hours and I turned it I in to the next nurse that morning. After I couple weeks, I did just receive a letter in the mail apologizing.

Just go somewhere else. A dear friend of mine had an unfortunate miscarriage here. The staff in the ER did next to nothing for her and had abysmal bedside manner. We were able to compare her experience when the next day she miscarried the 2nd of what would have been twins - we took her to Christ Hospital. Night and day, the difference in treatment, manner and care.

Very nice hospital! Amazing birthing center. I was their for 4 days after giving birth and I was well taken care of. The nurses are amazing, some of the nicest people ever. They truly got me through it.

Terrible hospital to send your loved one. They sent my mom home in her nightgown and slippers in 30 degree weather. Very disappointing.

Have been waiting over 3 hours to be seen and people are walking out because of the long wait. Asked if their was a reason for such a long wait and I was told a nurse was coming right out to get another patient. That was 30 minutes ago. I would recommend going to another ER. Even if you have to drive another hour.

The ER room is an absolutely terrible experience. I will not recommend anyone to go here for urgent care. I have been to this ER twice — a year apart each time and the waiting room staff is horribly rude and I have waiting 2+ hours in the waiting room every time. We’ve been here for multiple surgeries and the surgery desk and staff were great. However the ER staff did not want to help and I asked a simple question and immediately got a rude, abrupt answer every time. It was obvious the front desk person hated her job, however that is not the type of person to staff the front desk in an ER. DO NOT go to Mercy West hospital ER.

Terrible experience at mercy west"s ER 2 days before Christmas. Will not ever return. The entire staff was rude. The nurses assistants do not know how to draw blood and nurses have major ego problems. The doctor was non existent and never came out to physically exam my wife who was in serious pain the entire visit. We thought her appendix may have erupted. My wife's issue was not treated as a emergency and each time my wife complained about her pain level the nurses got snippy and one even complained how busy she was as if we were stressing her out and that the doctor was too busy tending to cardiac arrests and more important issues then my wifes. The only thing is they still didnt know what was wrong with my wife. We where there 6 hours so the doctor had plenty of times to review her. The head nurse practitioner got so rude with my wife, who could barely talk because of the pain, to the point that I had to intervene and we had a heated exchange. Fast forward on Christmas day 2 days later, I had to take my wife to the ER again but we went to Good Samaritan Hospital and the entire staff was great and sympathetic and treated her pain and the doctor was awesome and she left home significantly better. I will never deal with Mercy West again!

I honestly never thought I would leave a review for an emergency room but they were amazing. Fast, professional, and courteous staff. Clean facility and 5 star treatment. I hope I never have to go back but I’m happy they are there if I need them!

Came here with my 90 year old mother because she was having nose bleeds and her blood pressure was 190 over 104. She waited about 45 minutes to get back into emergency, then another 45 minutes to get a EKG and blood drawn.
Then we were put back in the waiting room where we have been sitting for 2 plus hours. We cannot get any info. The woman at the front desk shows no interest in finding out any info for us.

The lady at the front desk was incredibly rude and inattentive, was more concerned about talking to her home girl who was cussing up a storm in the lobby. I waited over 30 minutes and had to ask 3 times to see my husbands nurse or doctor, as he was brought in by squad barely conscious and I had medical history they needed to know. Our nurse was from an agency, she was sweet but clearly overworked. Blood caked on his face cleaned off of by myself after waiting 2 hours revealed severe lacerations to the eye lid and nose not detected by the people getting paid to care for him. Was given nothing for pain, had to asked and my 6'6 250 pound husband was given a children's dose of Tylenol? ! After being told we were admitted and waiting for a bed a new doctor came at shift change and decided she would discharge because I am a nurse and will be there to monitor him. They did not do orthostatic blood pressures or walk him with a pulse ox before deciding to discharge. I had to demand that it be done. He already had 3-4 bags of IV fluids before labs got drawn, guess we won't find out what his true sodium level was huh? As a nurse I try to be very understanding of other health care workers but after 2 recent bouts with this ER I have only come across 1-2 competent nurses. Both my husband and my son had completely been misdiagnosed upon further diagnostic testing done else where.
