Mercy Health - St. Charles Hospital reviews
15 Was a very good experience for getting my routine blood work done.
Very caring and helpful associates.
Went in extremely sick and couldn’t keep fluids down the whole day.the nurses were super friendly and caring! They made me feel very comfortable and checked on me constantly. I instantly felt better after leaving and could finally drink fluids!
Some nurses were wonderful. The older nurses listened! Cared for you. Yiunger, newbie nurses were horrible. Terrible experience! They were loud chatting all night, smoking. Came in @3 am to check vitals, full of smoke! Terrible hospital stay second time. They should all be reprimanded or fired!
I love this neighborhood hospital. I was born here. My son was born here. And I have many procedures here, preferable anytime I need one. This is a very safe place.
This is one of the worst hospital experiences I've had. Never again. Day 2 the nurses are trying. I still won't come again. The name should be no mercy hospital.
Had all 4 of my children there, my surgeries, have always had great care. They're very helpful and they discuss things with you. I prefer St. Charles over any hospital.
Dr Ahmed and he's a staff very nice and kind I just wanna thank you to Dr Ahmed for his kindness God bless him
Dr. Wall in radiology is condescending, ableist, ageist, and fatphobic. She was horribly disrespectful and rude to me during my visit. She verbally argued with me repeatedly, and told me I would die if I ate chicken nuggets. She told me I just didn’t know how bad being fat is because I’m young. I complained to the other staff, and they said, “we know, we have to work with her. ” I waited at the end for a supervisor, and she brushed it off as her being old fashioned and also said, “you know how extremely intelligent people just say weird things. ” They denied my offer to hand out resources on why her behavior was so unacceptable. She is not extremely intelligent or tactful. I’m disgusted by her behavior which threw me into a panic attack so bad that I was pouring sweat, and my heart was racing. Shame on her, and shame on the staff for excusing her behavior. She is a bully, and it is a shame because the hospital is excellent. No apologies were made.
Literally worst ER in this area. So slow, never have the correct people staffed. My sister was just in for extreme pain in her stomach. They wanted her to get an ultrasound and she had to wait over an hour because there was not one ultrasound tech in the entire hospital… had to call one in. I could go on and on. This ER is horrible and has been for years. I would never recommend anyone go here in an emergency!
Visits in the past have been really good with my husband but this last one was not the best. No explaining things to the patient at all unless you have someone there that understands and Ask specific questions. Even then they just want to tell you to stop what you are doing wrong and only because that is what the text books say. (words from my husband).
Also there would be more parking for visitors if staff did not park in the main, front parking lot.
Doesn't keep track of patients admitted and tells you that ur loved ones are no where to be found cause they're "not in the system"
I want to just say how lucky we are too have nurses like you in icu. I cant say what great people you all are here and how compassionate.
Dr. Welwarth and his resident this evening were wonderful. Dealing with patients isnt easy im sure and they were patient and understanding about what i was going through. I appreciate their time and hopefully putting me on a path to healing here soon. Thank you for your patience with me tonight.
I would like to say thank you to all the staff. I came into hospital on 9-20-21 with Covid. I spent 8 days in ICU, 8 days in isolation and 4 days in regular room. The nurses and all the staff were great. My ICU nurses really helped me, it was such a scary time. My doctors were awesome along with respiratory, and the aids. I would never go any place else! Thank you so much for taking great care of me.
Tonight was my first time at this hospital and I won’t ever return. I was checked in, put in a room, tests ran in less than an hour. I then sat and waited 2 hours for urine test results. Even asked another nurse to get my nurse so I could see what was going on. Nobody came to my room. Walked out at 2am.
