Very unprofessional nurses, did not get a medication list from me in ER, was without my pills 3 total days, while 2 of 4 nurses had me write all my drug info and doses when i was admitted to a non er room all while cursing the er for failing. It's day 3 and I have only had 1 of my 4 prescriptions and they took my pillbox with my meds from me. Nothing was adequately explained by 2 of the 4 nurses post admittance. No one told us that covid visitor guidelines were still a thing and there were no overnights but somehow masks are not mandated in there. I have ptsd and this is not ok. Taking away my pills triggered me to crying non stop and then they tell me my husband cant stay.they keep offering me sweets when im so inflamed its changing my blood ph. Urine on er private room bathroom floor entire bathroom dirty. Every nurse tells me different information. My day nurse is falling asleep standing up and hardly forming sentences. I tried to tell myself they are just understaffed but honestly im in a lot of hospitals all the time for 20 years and this is hands down the worst experience i have ever had.

I was with a friend who was having surgery and a very rude woman made a scene in the family waiting room and the situation was handled terribly by both staff members who came in the room. The rude woman accused me, my son and friends husband as well as a grandmother and her 3 grandchildren of being disrespectful to everyone in the waiting room who were worried about their loved ones having serious surgeries. We were just chatting amongst ourselves but because we weren't whispering and she "could hear all our business" we said we all needed to leave the waiting room and move to the the cafeteria where we "could be as loud as we wanted" (we were not being loud at all) The grandmother in the other group got upset, rightly so, after being scolded like a child by the rude woman and the 2 women started raising their voices. A staff member from the surgery check in desk (who was somewhat rude to me when we checked in) came in and made the situation worse by threatening the poor grandmother with calling security on her. The staff member then loudly yells at another staff member who was walking through the waiting room to call security and the staff member yells back that she already called them. (No security ever showed up) One of the poor grandchildren ended up in tears and needed escorted out of the room by her brother so she could calm down, but yet nothing happened to the woman who started the drama in the first place. She was the one who needed security called on her and removed from the room. The staff here needs some training in professionalism and a serious attude adjustment. I will never visit this hospital again. I will urge all my family members and friends to request a different hospital for any future procedures.

I have mixed emotions about this place because when I recently had surgery it was a pleasant experience and both my ENT and PCP is through Mercy Health and they are AMAZING! However, the emergency room staff. (Especially one nurse in particular) is horrendous. I have never been treated like such a lowlife ever in my life. I’ve tried multiple times to give this ER a chance considering it’s close to my home but I will never go there again!
Just for insight on what goes on there. It’s always dirty. I was given a blanket with blood on it that smelled of puke… yuck. Then when I stated that I was given a certain medication and I had a bad reaction the nurse told me I was lying and said it wasn’t in my chart! Ok well I have no reason to lie about taking a pill for stomach upset. Then to add salt to the injury the same nurse came back and asked if I had any other reactions to other pain medication. I told her yes… she sighed, rolled her eyes and said well that’s all you’re going to get. After that I asked to speak to the Dr. To explain the situation. I then waited 3 hours to speak to the Dr. Just to find out that the nurse said I refused treatment and that I wished to leave. It really breaks my heart because when you go into the ER you are supposed to feel safe and well taken care of. I felt like I was being punished for being in pain. If you have access to another ER go there instead. Don’t waste your time here.

Went in for neck and spine surgery. The problem I had was when I got to my room on the Fifth floor. The case manager, a male, began informing the nurses of the new patients. He stated my personal information and then began telling the others that I am a drug seeker and people like me go from doctor to doctor and hospitals trying to get drugs. He sent one girl in to look at my elbows and ankles for sores from using drugs. I was stunned and didn’t want to say how much pain I was in. One nurse said that with all my physical problems she didn’t think I was there for drugs. He said fine, then you can have her. She was so nice but I was very distrusting and felt judged. I have left 3 messages for the patient advocate without a response.

My Doctor is there. And I also worked there. It was the worst job I ever had in my entire life. They have incompetent employees work there. They go hide and sleep. Bad reputation. It's only going to get worse. They should close the place up. This stuff was in the rooms after they were cleaned. JCAHO violation. I only got few compliments about how good I did my job. Everybody else was bossy.

We took my 72 year old mom to the Jewish Hospital ER yesterday with severe abdominal pain, vomiting, weakness & shortness of breath. They took her back quickly and were very accommodating to her needs. I relieved my sister about 1.5 hrs into the process and spent the day there, talking to nurses & doctors about her care and monitoring her myself! I was VERY impressed with every caregiver with whom we interacted. They were kind, compassionate, attentive and thorough. They did not dismiss any of our questions or concerns nor talk condescendingly or curtly as I have experienced at times in other ERs. Although the Nurse Practitioner, Nikki, had intended to send mom home to rest after administering confort meds & fluids, based on her initial blood work, CT scan & Urine panel, upon further review, observation, & input/questions from us she & the Internal medicine Dr.instead ordered more labs & decided it was best to keep her for observation and to be sure they were not missing anything. We are so grateful for their patient, thorough explanations of the process and placing mom's well being ahead of anything else. Nurse Coryn & Nurse Intern Nick were also very patient, helpful and accommodating. Since I had to leave before they moved her to a room in the evening, I also called the nurse on her floor at 1am to try to get some general information leading into this morning, and Nurse Tori was also extremely courteous, friendly, and helpful as she did her best to answer my questions. We are very pleased that Mom ended up at Jewish hospital. She was so anxious when she arrived that she didn't even want me leaving her side to step into the hallway with the door open to make a phone call, but by the time I left, she was completely at peace and comfortable thanks to her confidence in her caregivers! Thank you so much!
Note: I'm not always an easy person to impress. While I try to be diligent to provide 5 star reviews to businesses that have earned it, I am also quick to give a lower rating if warranted. Every person with whom I interacted contributed to this 5 star review!

My son was attacked and robbed last week and was taken by ambulance to this ridiculous example a "hospital". He was seen by their ER but when done being treated, was waiting for a ride home. His phone and shoes had been stolen but the ER said he had to leave. When he resisted this request because his ride was on the way to pick him up (also he had no phone and no shoes). The ER staff called police who ended up arresting him for trespassing.

Sad.do better people.

This hospital is terrible they no help they had me waiting for over a hour and a half kept telling us they was cleaning the room my fiancé said it in the lobby for over a hour and a half throwing up why they did nothing. And she’s a diabetic. Then when they put us in a room it still had urine in the cuts from other people blood still on the floor. I really couldn’t believe it. It was so upsetting then on top of that the nurses was so rude and had no care UC better then this hospital and I don’t really care for that hospital but it’s sad the way they do people

I had a Cardiac Stress test at Jewish last week and it was a terrible experience! First of all, the entire facility is dirty, run down and in desperate need of remodeling. But worse than that, their staff is incompetent and their equipment is old and obsolete.

The tech performing the test didn't even know how to take my blood pressure. She put the cuff on my lower arm (below the elbow) to take it and then told me I had high BP (215/110). I told her that I never had high BP in my life and to take it again the right way this time and in the right place. She did and it was (110/65), HUGE difference there!

Then, she proceeded with trying to hook me up to the machine.
When she turned the machine on, she couldn't get it to work and had to go get someone else. The second person moved a couple of the patches around on my body and tried it and it still didn't work! They had to go get a third person to come in and re-hook me up. I'm not sure if it was the equipment malfunctioning, or if all three of the techs were as incompetent as the first one. I left feeling not at all convinced that the test was performed correctly or that the results would be accurate. That wasn't reassuring given that I've been having chest pain and that the test was important!

I was so mad when I finished testing, I went to their administrative suite to talk to a patient advocate. I asked her NOT to submit the test to my insurance company and told her that I wanted to have it redone at another location that I could trust. She said she was going to research this and get back with the the next day. It's been 5 days now and NO ONE has called. And, I just checked today, they did bill my insurance, so now I can't have it redone someplace else.

I would not recommend them to ANYONE, EVER!
Having worked in healthcare for 30+ years myself, my advice would be go ANYWHERE BUT THERE and I will be spreading the word!

Dr Hobler and his staff did my hernia surgery. I was extremely nervous because this was my first surgery. I just wanted to say thanks to every single doctor and nurse who helped me along with the way. I appreciate the phone calls back when I had questions. So thank you!

I had a great experience. Everyone was very positive and professional. Everything was meticulous. They checked on me quite often to make sure l was comfortable. I didn't eat but when my mother was there she loved the food. Guess it depends on your taste. I give them 5 stars

The low star rating is for the nurse who was being rude to my sister for no reason. I understand that life happens to us all, but her rude behavior is nasty and unacceptable.
The story: My sister is currently hospitalized at Jewish hospital and unfortunately I received text messages from her about how she is being poorly mistreated by her nurse, Jenny. I live miles away in Florida, but I stopped what I was doing to call the hospital. I spoke to the floor manager, Kelsey. She quickly jumped into action to help by switching my sisters nurse and providing her the necessary items needed in her room and apologizing for her behavior. My sister was so shook-up that she was willing to be transferred to another hospital. Which according to Kelsey, wasn’t a good idea because of her condition. I appreciate Kelsey for quickly resolving this matter.

I came here to get a bunion surgery by Dr. Wiley. The staff was wonderful from start to finish. My check in person name was Eric. Very nice and welcoming. My pca was amazing and attentive. My team was Dr.price, Dr. Wylie, anne, Dianne, heather, Miriam. Everybody that I cane in contact with during this visit was amazing! I came here for my right foot and didn’t have a great experience. I had a nurse named Gwen and she was awful and unprofessional. She told me I wasn’t in pain when I had woke up from surgery. Which I was in pain just not my foot. I could feel this sharp pain going through my bones. It was painful and I was in pain. She dismissed me and rushed me out. Which was fine because I was ready to go and fast. She sat in the corner and was gossiping with others about m the staff when my heart was racing she just would yell at me what’s wrong and told someone else that’s above her pay grade. She did all while sitting in the corner in a chair about a few feet away. She made it so traumatizing that I was hesitant and worried about going again. So bad I was having slight panic attacks and they had to get my heart rate down. I’m glad I went back and had a better experience. Thanks to my amazing team! I had a wonderful experience the second go around!

When I arrived I asked multiple times if they take CareCredit wish I was told yes we do take Care credit multiple times I told them I don't want anything done unless you take it again I was told they take it sat in the waiting room for about 5 minutes got sent to a room waited in the room for about 2 hours x-ray technician came in x-rayed my hand he left doctor came in an hour later after that I received the bill give them my CareCredit card the lady went and try to use it told me when she came back she couldn't figure out why it wasn't going through and told me to call a corporate number turns out no no they do not use CareCredit and I was told the wrong information on top of that I was told there was too many people to perform the surgery I needed so they basically just gave me a bill for $1,200 just so they could give me an x-ray and told me to go away none of this is saying the nurses and doctors were bad people or they weren't nice they were extremely nice I really just feel like I did not receive the proper medical attention for what the bill was on top of waiting for so long

Wife came in with severe abdominal pain, nauseau, rapid breathing, and theyre making us sit here for going on 4hrs because "were waiting on a room". My wife had to lay on the floor to alleviate the pain and still no one shows up. Ive seen so many people come in and leave while my wife suffers for no reason. I thought hospitals were for helping people? Everyone else in the waiting room appears healthy and unbothered while my wife is hyperventilating and curling up in a ball crying. Employees just sitting around on phones and chatting it up. Receptionist lady was rude to us when we asked for updates. Learn how to prioritize your patients. Also bathrooms were disgusting.
Worst hospital we've ever been to. Not to mention im currently watching a cockroach crawl across the floor.
