Unfortunately he would not see my Dog due to the illness he had but he recommended me the number of a Vet Clinic in North Ridgeville. Thankfully I was able to take my pet to them that day. Had he not done this for me I would have lost my Furbaby. They treated him that day and for that, I am forever grateful. He is alive today because of Dr. Metrokas recommendation. Thank You Dr. Metroka.

I called to ask about prices and info on getting my cat fixed. Dr. Metroka answered the phone and responded, Do you want to have a bad job done or a good job done (on my 6 month old kitten). What course are you trying to go. That was the first thing he said to me. So Im going to stay with his usual vet and wait a month. I don't know if I was in the Twilight Zone but no thank you. 0/5 stars.
In response to your below comment. If you would of worded it the way you stated below I wouldn't of been sceptical of your procedures. I would recommend thinking of what your going to say before you say it. What you stated below is not true. Hiring a receptionist would be beneficial to your business. Words are hard to put together sometimes, but as a business owner you should try harder.

Just saw the doc today and he was absolutely fantastic! I generally have a hard time trusting a vet but after speaking to him on the phone regarding an issue that my German Sheppard was having and needed immediate assistance, he instructed bring my dog in, mind you this was at 11am on a Sunday on 4th of July weekend. That in its self speaks volumes! After meeting him and him assessing the situation even during the current covid situation, he was very friendly and very professional. He gave me alot of good information and medication for the dog. Its refreshing to have an a great vet that has some old school tactics as well as current practices. Those are the ones that are hard to find. I'm glad I found one so close. Definitely will be switching our pets to him for future service. Not sure what the other bad reviewers were stating but its how you present yourself and and explain the situation rather than be disrespectful and ignorant. 5 stars all the way.

The ONLY reason I USED to go here was because MY DAD (FORREST) knew him a long time ago. The only time he was nice was when I'd bring my dad in with me. If I came in with my mom, or by myself, WITHOUT bringing my dad in, he would act completely different—mean and careless. He would rip us off and act inhumane with our cat (s). If anyone ever experiences bad customer AND animal service, just bring Forrest in.

DOC takes excellent care of my animals. He is kind and caring. I value his opinion and expertise in the well being of my pets.

He has been our veterinarian since he bought out the previous vet. He is always there for us, and has taken care of our barns cats (many) for years along with our dogs, chickens, ducks, geese, phesants.

He is the best. My sisters biggest disappointment when she moved away is loosing Dr. Metroka.

Do not hesitate to go here.

I am very happy to have found Dr. Metroka to care for my cat family members. He has been my cat family’s physician for over five years now and has always shown us a caring and respectful attitude along with his patience and considerable knowledge. He is truly a kind man and a dedicated doctor. In addition to that, he has decades of experience, a friendly manner, and honest business practices. His practice is open seven days a week and it is so nice to have a neighborhood veterinarian here in Sandusky. I highly recommend his services. Thank you, Dr. Metroka!

We took our cat that was attacked by something and the level of care and love was beyond our expectations. Would give them a 10 star if we could. Simply the best around!

Do NOT recommend this place. Most vests are closed, including our chosen vet. I started looking around for different vets. I am a first time dog owner, and Diamond had bloody poop, plus this morning she puked twice. Of course I became worried, and even more so that most vets were closed.
When I called this vet, he told me that he doesn’t have an answer for me. Then asked if I called my usual vet. As I told him in the beginning of the call, they are closed, along with a lot of vets. He didn’t ask me any questions about my dog, and gave me zero suggestions to help Diamond. I will remember to never call this vet when I have questions, or need help. Luckily, I found a different vet that is currently open at this time of the day, who actually asked me questions about Diamond, and gave me suggestions.

Dr. Metroka was the best! After treatment for seizures and then what we thought was a cold my buddy had to be put down due to his body filling with fluid. Doc and his assistant were both very caring and understanding giving us private time with him. We all did what we could to make his final days good. Thanks Dr. Metroka for everything!

Dr. Mike is a top notched doctor. Our little puppy has special needs, and he provides excellent care to our Noah. He is honest in dealing with pet owners. I highly recommend him.

We also have him groomed by Ivan and Izzy. Give them a try, too. You won’t be disappointed.

Very patient, caring man. Was our second opinion, but figured out the problem and successfully treated our dog. Of course we switched. It's a one man practice- and I know who we're going to see when we walk through the door.
