Miami Valley Shooting Grounds reviews
22Bought a Mossberg 5.56 MVP Varminter from their website. That rifle was shipped from Mossberg w/ Vortex optics. I checked w/ Mossberg. The scope was swapped out at MVSG and replaced w/ a cheap knock off scope. The rings were loose on it. I would never purchase a firearm from the again! They denied they did it, the box was open when I p/u the rifle.
Great range and friendly staff. This is my go too range anytime I want to shoot. I have also brought many friends here that have enjoyed their experience. The wife and I performed our ccw class and training here and both instructors were very knowledgable and worked with each person individually if they were having any complications. Recommend this place to anyone new or veteran of shooting firearms. Hopfully their out door range will be open agian soon. Indoor range at the moment is pistols and small caliber rifles only
Wonderful service, great expertise. Jerry made me a custom holster for my 9mm shield in less than 20 minutes. Its custom fit, comfortable, concealable, and strong. Plus a great value at 56.00. He also said if theres ever a problem with it to bring it back since its guaranteed. If you need a custom holster, this is the best place!
"No rifles on range as of 5/13/19" is what I was told upon arrival.
Website still advertises anything up to. 308 is allowed.
Yet their employees were blasting away with ARs rapid fire because they were "testing" some things out.
Good (inexpensive) place for handguns, not so much for rifles. The range is approx 50' long.
I recently noticed signage indicating the max rifle caliper is. 223 / 5.56. I suspect they will enforce this. Also, they only have 2 lanes for rifle and you have to use a bench (this one is definitely enforced).
Hope they get the outdoor side opened.not sure I like the increasing amount of rules and restrictions. I will probably start looking for a range that can accommodate rifles reasonably well.
Miami Valley Shooting Grounds is a nice facility, well-stocked store, good selection of shooting supplies, accessories, ammo, and weapons (excellent prices). You can shoot all day for $10, or better yet, buy a six-pac for $45. That's only $7.50 per visit. Best of all is the friendly and helpful staff.
These guys are amazing. Most pleasant buying experience I’ve had. They even catered to my little ones with chips and gatorade! Prices are great and service is even better. Highly recommend dropping in here before you purchase anywhere else.
Great indoor shooting range, and great owner and manager when making a purchase. They worked with Glock to get me setup nicely instead of having to order a gun with night sights. Love this shop, just wish I lived closer! Also this is one of the few indoor range I have seen that doesn't have a ammo case restriction, when using own weapon.
Wish outdoor range was open again. Only indoor pistol range available. Friendly and helpful staff.
Great indoor shooting range with a wide variety of firearms and indoor ammunition to choose from. Ammunition is fairly priced. Staff were friendly and helpful. It's a shame that the outdoor range is closed due to legal issues.
What a fun place to spend some time and a little money with the whole family. Gun rentals have a great selection of handguns at a great price, $10 rental fee, $20 range fee, and you can swap all day, just buy their ammo. I'm sure my boys and I will be back.
Staff is overly helpful for new gun owners/shooters. CCW class is excellent. Range instructor for CCW made my spouse feel comfortable and her shooting and safety improved 100% during the training. Stopped in the day before the CCW class and got awesome help. Not condescending at all, great place to learn/ask questions.
Not a terrible place to shoot, However I found it pretty strange and unsafe that there was no range officer! No supervision at all.cheap to shoot yes, maybe because they dont employ such supervision that I would think that was 100 percent necessary.
I learned a lot in such a short period of time. Mr. Wright is a great teacher and very funny, and patient he knows his stuff hope to take his training class.
Decent prices at the range, but a real lack of supervision. I'm not sure I'll be back but it is cheap. Still had a great day of shooting and didn't get interrupted by any range officers so I'll give it 3 stars.
I love this place. Simply because they are knowledgeable, professional and will assist you on anything you need. They have amazing deals and great prices you can't find beaten. My first experience was great so I kept coming back amd never got anything less. Highly recommended!
Awesome range indoor and outdoor. Outdoor up to 90 yrds. Nice and knowlegeable staff. Lots of merchandise.
They need to put in stronger exhaust and AC the range is smokey and warm. The employees were friendly and over all i had a good time.
Was impressed with the people who work there very knowledgeable and eager to help. Plenty of room for shooting different types of guns.
Great staff; all are very approachable, friendly, and knowlegable. Plus it doesn't hurt that everyone, including the owner Dana Tackett, has a great sense of humor. Also they offer hand gun classes on Thursday nights hosted by Jerry Vaughn for only $10 which is beneficial to anyone planning to carry whether it be concealed or open and crazy affordable. Definitely a good place to go for people with all levels of firearms experience.
