Mid-Ohio Emergency Services reviews
7Had a discussion with Riverside Hospital. Don't give out personal information, they said it was a scam.
Unethical/illegal billing practices. They billed my insurance improperly, and when insurance did not cover, they sent my bill to collections with no communications sent to me. I finally sorted out the billing error on my own with my insurance, and insurance paid the bill a year ago. However, Mid-Ohio Emergency Services denied ever receiving the payment and it was still in collections. Today, I had my insurance call Mid-Ohio, and after 45 minutes on the phone with managers/supervisors, Mid-Ohio confirmed that they actually *had* received the payment in full after all. Had I not jumped through all of these hoops, I would have been held accountable by collections for the bill that my insurance had already paid.
I was send to collections by them but I’ve never received a bill. If my son’s insurance didn’t covered something, they should’ve contacted me. I’m still waiting to hear back from someone to give me more information about it smh
Called to inquire about a debt. They hung up and blocked my number from transferring me to them. It would never transfer me again. I left a massage on the one place I could get too and no call back. What a way to handle business. Especially if you’re trying to get money.
Just received a notice from a creditor, for an ER visit almost 6 months ago that we owe money, and that it is delinquent. We never received a bill from Mid-Ohio Emergency Services for this ER visit.
Billed us for a physician level of care but had an intern perform the service. Also, sent us a bill, we paid part of it (approximately 50%) as we were asking for an appeal of the charges, never heard anything from this organization until they sent us to collections. You have no choice of what physician group will treat you when you seek treatment at an Ohio Health ER. This group is highly unethical in their approach to treatment of patient and billing of their services. Ohio Health would be best served to use another physician group.
