Midas, Youngstown OH

Made an appointment on Wednesday. Came in today and there was no record of me calling in and make an appointment. But they took me in and repaired my car. Whoever made my appointment did not put it in the system and they gave me a wrong quote.

Relatively new customer to Midas and pleased up through this last incident. I drove my car on Friday and was told I needed extensive service, including a tune-up and fuel system cleaner, for hundreads of dollars. They noted that a broken spark plug was removed and continued to do the repairs. Twenty minutes after I paid at 6: 00 pm and Midas closed, the check engine light came on, and the car started to sputter again. I made an online appointment for Monday.

I was told after my second appointment that there was scarring inside and I needed a new engine. I have no issue with this major repair, but I have a problem with a second consultation I received from a Kia Mechanic. He said they immediately check for damage before they do any work on a broken plug—Midas (that day, did not). This company had no problem taking our family's $ for USELESS repairs, offering nothing in return when I presented what another mechanic suggested. That is taking advantage of a customer and showing no remorse.

Yes, photographic evidence was presented to us on Monday, but why wasn't this investigated on Friday? The manager could not respond. I even suggested he throw out a free oil change for good measure, and he stood there in silence. Unbelievable how a 7 minute phone call into an experienced mechanic could have saved our family a lot of money in useless repairs. Thank You Midas for offering absolutely nothing in-return.

Great service from great people. Told me exactly what I needed and didn't try to pressure me into anything that I didn't need. Replaced my exhaust and gave me an oil change and I was done in around 90 minutes. My car is nice and quiet again. Will most definitely go back for service in the future. Highly recommended!

Everyone was very friendly and professional. The Austintown Ohio location is very involved in helping the community. That was very important to me

These guys are great! Extremely nice to talk to. They did a great job of being gentle with my chrome wheels. Other places toss them around and scratch them, these guys took extreme care and went above and beyond what I expected!

Greeted right away and checked in to my appointment made online. Friendly and thorough service. Prices were as expected for service rendered. Wait time was pretty quick. Overall, highly satisfied and will return for the next oil change or other services needed.

Visited for an alignment. They did the work, and then after they were done, let me know that there were broken items I needed to address. Would have been nice to know I was going to need to fix those items before the alignment so I wouldn’t have to repeat the work. For what they did do, they did a thorough job.

Would leave 0 stars if I was able to start off I don’t believe that their mechanics really even care about their job I brought my car in for a thermostat change that should’ve taken two hours then after almost a whole additional day I take my car home to find out that pieces were missing they claimed that there was a blockage in my system and they had to put the system under an immense amount of pressure defined the blockage and then they claimed that they had to put a different thermostat in when in all reality I don’t believe they put the correct thermostat in in the first place now I’m having additional problems with my car and smoke coming from my tail pipe because I believe they caused more harm than good I will never ever go to a mitis location again in my life and only could wish that I could receive every penny back why the. Have me leave contact information when you don’t even respond?

Came in for a tire replacement. They had my car up for 45 minutes before they decided I might like to know that they don't have the tire in stock. This is the first thing that they should have checked. Complete waste of time. Flynn's down the road had the tire that I needed without them trying to talk over my wife to me.

I had two things done here, and both went wrong.

1) I had them check for a slow brake fluid leak. They told me it was my rear calipers. I had them replaced. It still leaked. I returned, they said one was defective. Refused to replace it without charging me over $120 for labor. I am STILL losing brake fluid!

2) My door handle intermittently got stuck. They charged me over $100 to look at it. They broke my trunk button on my door. Like, very obviously broken. Something you wouldn't miss during reassembly. It was literally dangling out of my door. They said they would call me back with prices. They didn't, then closed for a 3 day weekend.

Undertrained mechanics with premium pricing. I'm not even taking it back for them to fix what they broke. I'm afraid they will damage more!

I definitely recommend this place. They took me in relatively last minute and had my car done by the time I needed to checkout from my hotel rm. Car's been running great & they gave me essential peace of mind on the road. Also the waiting room was full of a pretty diverse crowd and I was impressed that Adam was equally courteous and professional to all. Frank took time one on one to answer all of my endless questions which I had many of because long trip. Thank you.

I took my excursion to Midas from the shop with brand new tire rods and Midas had my truck for about 4 hrs and then called me and said it was to big for them to do a wheel alignment and my tire rod was broke. So as of today 4-25-2022 I am paying for the labor of replacing my tire rod once again. Midas on Mahoning Ave Youngstown/Austintown Ohio area

I was on a trip and needed a new muffler and tail pipe. Got me in quick. Got me back on the road quickly. I just feel it was a bit expensive.

I trust my car to the professionals at Midas on Mahoning Ave. They just took care of an electrical system problem I was having. Their work is equivalent to the best dealerships around the Mahoning Valley. This Midas is not just for mufflers anymore!

I went in for a brake check. At 830am. At 10am they finally told us what was wrong and no one was waiting, so they asked if we wanted to get it fixed. We agreed. It is now 135pm, they have serviced 9 cars and our car is still hanging from the rafters even though the gentlemen told us that it would only take 1 hour maybe 2 at max. As we are reaching our 6th hour here, I would not recommend if you want fast and affordable anything for your car.

The management don't check the new guys work.left after oil change and oil leaking. Tools left under truck.would not recommend austintown Midas. At all.management doesn't have a good attitude at all.and was told they didn't have any grease to grease the frontend. Of my truck!
