I have been with Midwest eye Consultants for a few years now and I have to say the service is one of the worst places I have ever experienced. The ladies at the desk are down right rude. Me and my daughter had appointments for eye exams and they told us they were having problems with getting our exams covered by our insurance because of the switch from one carrier to another saying they were not accepting the new insurance carrier as of yet. We had our exams and I asked them to bill me because my insurance would’ve paid it in full. About a month later I called and made an appointment to go pick out a pair of glasses and they gladly made the appointment for me. I drove all the way there and they told me until I pay my balance off from our exams I couldn’t order glasses, that definitely should’ve been information you give to a patient over the phone. I was very upset and unsatisfied with the way they acted when I asked about getting glasses. I have since tried to call to pay the bills for our exam which was 98$ a piece and haven’t been able to get through to anyone and have left several voicemails with no return call from them at all. I since then have taken my business elsewhere because I don’t appreciate the cocky attitudes when asked a question or the dirty looks that are given from some of their staff members. I will not be returning ever again nor will I refer any of my family or friends to this company. Just rude and completely unprofessional. We are the customers and they act like it’s a problem we are coming to get our eyes checked or even ask them a single question. It’s so sad we are treated in the disgusting manner they treated us in. There is so much more I could tell about them, however it really isn’t worth my time.

Very Unprofessional! The care I received was excellent, However, They are the worst run place I have ever encountered.
I've requested multiple times to have my exam results sent to my PCP, Time & Time again it wasn't NEVER DONE. I had to call several times since they don't answer the phone, To request my results to be forwarded to my PCP.
After a week they decided to call me at 6: 30pm and lied to me several times! After this I will be taking my business elsewhere.

Appointments for every little thing yet you walk in and get ignored the customer in front of me they lost his lenses no one Ever answers the phone and they act like they don't care about you and I thought the new location would maybe have new/better people was Wrong

The ladies running the front desk and insurance part of everything over charged me money out my pocket. Then argued with us like we were in the wrong. Very unprofessional. Lost us 4 patients as customers.

The service provided to patients who are there is great. Staff is friendly and will answer questions you have.

My issues with this place is one, they dont tell you when ordering your glasses if they are on back order. Then two, they rarely answer there phone and dont respond to voicemails.

They said the standard turn around time.for glasses was 3 weeks. No issue, I get it. 3 weeks went by and I called for an update. Twice I got no answer and left voicemails both times. 3 days later, I get a text message saying our glasses arrived.

When I arrived, only one of my two pairs arrived and the only pair for my wife. The lady at the front wasnt sure on any information regarding my glasses, and said she would have the person who runs the vlasses portion call me the next day. Understandable, if your not involved with that side of things beyond retrieving them when customers arrive.

Another two days go by and I have no call from this person. I then call only to halear the voicemail tone. Annoyed and knowing they dont return them, I decided to keep calling until they answered. After a third time they finally do, and I explain my needs. The lady then goes to find out my glasses were on backorder and the frames jjst arrived today. They will call when they get an update.

A week later, i get a message saying my "portal" was updated. I attemped to log on, having never made an account before. I follow the prompts and the emails do not work for logging on or creating an account. I then proceed to try to call and ask if the glasses arrived. Well, as you can guess, no one will answer the phone.

No one answers the phone. They only called me back when I canceled my appointment. Said they couldn't answer or call back because they were with patients. I didn't think the doctors were also receptionists. Could not give me info on my insurance unless I come in for an appointment and bring my cards in. I am sorry, but I will find a new optometrist. Everyone else should too!

I gave this place a 2 stars cause, I unfortunately had to cancel my child's appointment cause she is very ill, and ask to reschedule, and the lady that was doing the appointments was very rude, I had to give her a attitude adjustment and tell her no! No! No! We are not starting my day out like this, needless to say, I decided to find a new eye care place down the way at st. Charles hospital, and they where very pleasant there, remember kindness goes along way, so please remind your employees to be kind you never know what someone else is going thru and kindness goes a long way, and also we are the reason they have a job, and are money makes their pay checks,
