The lady is here and my tech were super nice. I am a transferring member from out of state and they welcomed me nicely to the state and to their location. Even mentioned all of the promotions they had and they spent time to learn about my problem areas and they were overall very knowledgeable and welcoming. The store is also super clean and the tech asked all the right questions and provided some aloe. She really made sure I was comfortable and she was wonderful to chat with. Can't wait to see them in 5 weeks. Definitely worth it!

The experiences I've had with Milan have been nothing less than awesome. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is very welcoming and clean. Taylor was my tech today and is such a gem; everyone I encounter at each appointment has that 10 star customer service personality and are very welcoming.

I had two appointments so far, and after the first, I noticed a reduction in the hair growth back. Shaving for appointment two wasn't as long as it would typically take. I must mention that I have dark brown/black hair, which I've been told works faster than fair or lighter hair. However, the package I purchased will last a lifetime, and it's reassuring to know that Milan has many locations nationwide! Therefore, my package can continue at another location when we plan to move out of Toledo.

Almost a year ago now, I signed my contract with Milan Laser in Toledo. It’s taken me a long time to write this review, but I think it’s only fair to share my experience so others might learn from my mistakes.

When I decided to start laser hair removal, I was eager, desperate, and naive. I had significant hair growth on my face, which made me feel a lot of negative emotions about myself. During my consultation, the manager Lisa was friendly but pushy with her sales pitch. I shared my personal frustrations, and she took advantage of these insecurities.

One of the most haunting parts of this initial interaction was at the end of the meeting when she asked if I was ready to sign a contract. As much as I wanted to, I told her I’d have to think about it before moving forward, and she asked why. I told her I was a student who struggled to make ends meet each month (groceries, housing, etc.) to which she replied “who needs to eat? Food is overrated. ” (This is not an exact quote, but it was something along those lines.) This was obviously intended as a joke, but it was also very hurtful and started to make me question myself in more ways than one.

Ultimately, I decided to sign later that day as a spur-of-the-moment decision and am still suffering the consequences. It deeply pains me to disclose the amount, but I paid $3,385.80 for laser hair removal on my full face and neck (side note: as I found out later, this does not even include the back of my neck, which is absolutely mind-boggling to me, as it was sold to me as the full face and neck package). I would also like to make note that this purchase does not include any electrolysis, which is the only FDA-approved permanent hair removal treatment.

Trust me, they will try sell you on the fact that you can make monthly payments or that you are provided with a ~lifetime guarantee~ (i.e, unlimited sessions) …but I assure you, there are much less pushy businesses that are local and will provide laser hair removal with the exact same Candela laser for a fraction of the price. For example, after researching this topic much more extensively in hindsight, I have learned a lot of people love Miracle Salon & Medi Spa in Temperance (plus, they don’t artificially inflate their reviews!). They use the same line of laser and have reasonable prices in the hundreds, not thousands (and if you have to buy another package for eventual touch ups, you will still be well below the Milan Laser threshold).

I could go on and on about this experience, but I think the immense anxiety and anguish caused by this situation has already been made apparent. As far as my results go, I have had 10 sessions thus far, and I have seen significant hair reduction (~67%), although this is less than anticipated. The staff is pleasant, but coming into the office still makes me feel guilty and sad, even though I’m doing what’s best for me. All in all, I deeply regret my ill-informed decision to choose Milan Laser and hope this post helps others make a more informed choice when deciding on their laser and/or electrolysis needs.
