Mohican-Memorial State Forest reviews
21Great campsite as long as your expectations are consistent with the description provided by ODNR. This is a relatively primitive site- there are no electric hook-ups and there are pit toilets. The site appears to be in a flood plane along the river, so it is unlikely that it will ever be upgraded. That being said, the campground is clean, well-maintained, and has easy (walking distance) access to several trail heads. The main road is asphalt and each camp site has a gravel parking spot that is about 30' long, a picnic table, and a fire pit. The campground is regularly patrolled by the ODNR police, so it was safe and quiet throughout our stay.
Beautiful park! We stayed in the luxury cottages right on the rivers edge. They were beautiful, recently renovated, clean, and well supplied. Certainly not roughing it, but it was a fun way to get the WHOLE family to enjoy nature. Beds are awful (some sort of hard foam) and the cost is high, otherwise very enjoyable. The lodge was very nice, great service, good food, and wonderful views.
Great day for a hike! Started at the Dam and went to covered bridge. The lodge provided a map and trail ratings to help us make a decision.
I love looking for Morel Mushrooms in the spring. And with 5,000 acres to explore, there's plenty to go around
Beautiful. Went to the covered bridge and hiked through the falls and dam. It is a tougher trail in parts with cliffs and bends but our kids did do ok. Highly recommend it's a nice little ohio getaway!
We were in a redesigned cabin right by the river. While the weather had other plans, it was a fantastic getaway
Fun hiking for all ages camp sites are in great location with easy access to showers and bathrooms
If you are debating whether or not to come here, as my brother and I were, come! Some of the most amazing and resplendent vistas can be seen here!
One of only 2 state parks in Ohio with a swimming pool. Fabulous hiking with lots of beautiful sights
It's a great place to camp. And a ton of great hiking trails, plush the river is super fun to float down.
Always a nice time, quiet and peaceful. The folks you meet are friendly and everyone has a good time. They keep up the shower rooms and bathrooms nicely too.
Great little hike here, I did the covered bridge to Lyon falls, from there I did the hike to the other falls. Onwars to the dam then back to the bridge. About 3 miles, and about an hour and a half taking it real slow. Some switchbacks are on the trail. Worth it for some really beautiful views.
So much cooler in the trees and it sure has been the hottest Spring I have lived through in Ohio.
There is so much to do in this area with boating, camping, canoeing, kayaking, tubing, hiking, biking.
Every visit has been great, new adventures each time and enough for return visits in the future.
Lovely place to stay (the lodge) pretty area if you boat. Great sitings if you are a bird watcher!
Walked trails, just nice to get out and enjoy the woods. Lots of nice areas to walk and see nature

A piece of my heart will always be in Mohican. Some of my first memories were made here. The trail maintenance is great and the scenery is amazing for this area of Ohio.
I dinner in the in the dining room service was wonderful the waiter was a very nice young man. How'd the date today special to stuff manicotti little on the dry side on the top but other then at the flavor was wonderful. The blueberry cheesecake was very smooth and creamy the the presentation would rival a New York restaurant. So while staying at the lodge try out the menu in the dining room the prices are reasonable and the food is well worth the effort to walk down here and try
