Mom 'n 'em Coffee & Wine reviews
17Very nice house made marshmallow mocha! Dirty Nati b’fast samich was awesome and hit the spot too! … on a Very nice Very nice English muffin with just enough runny egg and greens! Very pleasant and accommodating staff/owner!
Good coffee but $. 75 for a shot of almond milk, jeez! I'll stop by Starbucks where it's free.
High quality coffee & teas and great service to match! We had their coffee cart at our wedding this past weekend and they were phenomenal. Our guests only had great things to say about the drinks they ordered. Tony & Austin are so great to work with and the coffee cart was a hit!
One of the best coffee shops in the city. Excellent staff! Was sad to move away, but every time I visit home, I always stop back here.
I love this place! They have a lot of great beverage options, including beer, cocktails and even a boozy milkshake.
This visit, I had yogurt with homemade granola, strawberries and almond butter. Plus a nice espresso martini. Very relaxing, whether you sit outside or in their lounge areas.
Good food includes breakfast sandwiches, baked / toasted breads, and an excellent selection of tinned fish and other tinned seafood.
I highly recommend the Smoked Mackerel, Almond Butter & Banana Toastie, and Franklins Coconut Cold Brew - maybe not all in one sitting tho.
Also, if you join their coffee and / or wine club they will deliver nationwide (with optional pickup + extra in-house perks for the latter).
We were just looking for a place to get coffee on our way home and this came up in Google. It was an awesome find! Kind of randomly located, which I always love because it feels like finding a hidden gem. It is inside a cool house with a really extensive outdoor patio so you don't feel squished with other patrons.
Going inside it felt really warm. They had an interesting menu. Staff were really chill and friendly - even had some fun banter with the barista.
Definitely on the pricier side. Seems like that is what you pay though for the vibe, space, and quality of food/drink.
Place is nice, great coffee but pastries are hard as a rock, they have no heating options which is really unfortunate.
The egg sandwich was interesting, it has a perfect runny yoke and mixed greens. The pastry looked tempting, croissants, cruffins, etc. Pleasant outdoor patio.
Very cute and cozy spot with friendly employees. The avocado toasty and coconut cold brew are fantastic. Always a bonus when Mom is in too!
We always look forward to visiting friends in Cincy because it means we can have a coffee and breakfast at Mom ‘n ‘em. Wonderful spot. Incredible coffee. Super tasty brekkie. The avo toast and Gibraltar (Cortado) was a real winner. The staff is so friendly and environment is so welcoming. Love this spot. Well done Mom ‘n ‘em team!
I recently moved to Camp Washington so this is my everyday coffee shop. The atmosphere is great, especially the patio, and the staff is honestly phenomenal. I will say that this is not necessarily a "neighborhood coffee shop", the very expensive menu prices definitely do not reflect what Camp Washington natives need/want. It is definitely a destination coffee shop that people who can afford an $11 avocado toast or $6 latte will drive to. That being said, this place has brought a lot of people and momentum into Camp Washington but I do wish it was targeted more towards the people that already live here.
One my favorite coffee shops EVER! I’m from out of state but will always stop in whenever I’m in Cincy because they have my favorite iced mochas! Incredible vibes and incredible coffee!
Staff is so kind! Sadly I have celiac so not many food options for GF sensitive people. Overall, good experience!
They have a passion for good service, good food and remaining an independent small business.
It honestly pains me to write this review because I/we love their Madisonville location - always a 5-star experience.
We came here for Mother's Day and their 4-year anniversary. It was our first time at this location, but we decided to make the drive and give it a try due to the special menu - we live closer to the Madisonville location.
I feel like people were just as friendly and the service just as good. The food was below their standard at the other location and I thought the portion/cost for the menu was sub-par.
The porchetta was dry, the exterior was not crunchy like porchetta should be but leathery, and it was not filling - it did have decent flavor. The asparagus was cooked just right - not overcooked and still some snap. It was $19 for that plate pictured, not including a tip. I would have expected another slice? Or maybe add something else to go with it - like potatoes or bread. My father had the classic breakfast which was $16 and it looked quite a bit more filling.
The rhubarb danish I had that day was also a little off. The custard was a bit eggy - both texture and flavor. Again, disappointing because items like their Pain aux Raisin and their Olive Oil Cake have been great.
Coffee was still good, but I think we had expected ceramic ware like the other location. However, we understood the convenience of disposables given most people were outside and it was quite busy.
Unfortunate experience here, but that won't deter us from frequenting Madisonville.
Charming coffee shop, I wanted decaf and they had great suggestions, I ended up with a decaf Americano with honey and a huge chocolate croissant. Great atmosphere, I was in a group of 4 and we were able to hang out and chat on couch and chairs. Dirty Nati Egg sandwiches looked great.
