Monfort Heights Animal Clinic reviews
19Everyone is super nice and helpful and really cares for pets and owners. Have never felt like I was overcharged or they did more than needed. Can't recommend them enough.
They took care of one of our fur kids in a miniature emergency, with very reasonable costs. A lot of things could have gone very differently, but this is my favorite vet over our lifetime with animals.
Very attentive to both animals and their people. Listened to any concerns/ issues your pet may be having and answered all questions. They give advice without being pushy regarding procedures, such as removing skin tags or cleaning teeth.
They were nice and took great care of all our pets. We were new there and it was hard to find a place with good service or not pushing appointments to next month. We even got surgery for our baby in a timely manner
We have taken three different dogs to monfort Heights animal clinic since we moved to Monfort Heights eight years and I will never go back there again. This was my first experience dealing with Dr. McBride Sr and, while his demeanor left much to be desired, I could have forgiven the fact that he charged me over double what he quoted me for my dog’s surgery, and I could’ve overlooked the poor postoperative instructions (no bandage, no cone, five sutures came out within the first few hours) and lack of general care and poor communication but I CANNOT forgive the fact that my dog is RIGHT NOW at an emergency surgeon and Dr. McBride REFUSES to release his notes and paperwork regarding my dog surgery to the treating emergency vet. When the emergency vet called Monfort Heights Animal Clinic and asked for his surgical records, they sent instead a copy of my invoice and his preop (bloodwork/chest x-ray). When I called MHAC to ask for the records, I was told they ‘do not have notes or records from the surgery’. The Emergency vet said the fact McBride won’t release the records is ‘highly suspicious’. So not only did my old dog have to endure a most likely poorly performed surgery, he will have to undergo sedation again to have the incision repaired and wound bandaged properly. I feel like I have been taken advantage of by this practice and would encourage any animal lover to NOT bring their pets to Dr. McBride Sr at Monfort Heights Animal Clinic.
Staff very friendly and understanding. They also have an a specialized veterinarian for exotic animals
I have taken my fur friends for years. Staff is great and works well with your pet. Veterinarians are great.
Called for my sick 1 week old guinea pig. They didn't have any open appointments, but after hearing the symptoms, they made time. Dr. Witalis was amazing! I appreciate her so much! Everyone was very friendly and the place was professional, beautiful, and clean. It was my first time going to them, but now I will be taking all of my animals there!
I took my Maltpoo to get spayed a month ago, tooth removed, and nails trimmed total price
= $399.
No hassles, high pressure sales for things NOT needed.
My doggie is doing great!
Kind of an odd place overall I like the service better when the old man was working there the front staff it's completely horrible but if you live there you got to go there
I take my dog and cats to MHAC and have been very pleased with the treatment and care they have received. My animals are long lived and healthy. One of our cats has a chronic inflammatory condition and I appreciate the laser treatments he has received. They have helped. My dog was abused before he came to me and the staff at MHAC are always very gentle with him. We once had an emergency with our cat and they got us in immediately. The waiting room is always very busy and it seems like a thriving practice.
They murdered my blood hound through negligence and malpractice. The doctor admitted to not decompressing my dog after surgery and less than 12 hours later she died of bloat. Taking your dog here for a surgery is essentially a death sentence. I am doing everything I can to have them shut down so they can't intentionally kill anyone elses furry family members.
Been going to them for 32 years. I cannot recommend them enough. I moved away and now travel 40 minutes to bring my pets.
Felt that our new puppy was very well cared for and pricing for everything was very reasonable. Easy to get to and very friendly staff.
My cat and I had a bad experience here. I told the vet tech not to pick her up, they did anyway, resulting in my cat climbing out of the tech's arms, and hiding into a corner. Then the vet came, and did not treat me with much respect. I was told that the results from a different Vet were wrong, didn't get the treatment I asked for, and was rushed out. I didn't feel very welcome overall.
Dr McBride is so kind and gentle with his patients! And they will make room for your pet in their appointment calendar even if there is no room!
Great vet clinic! Dr. McBride did an amazing job diagnosing and fixing our dog who had knee problems. Love taking our dog with bad hips there for laser therapy when she needs it.
Dr. McBride is always great with our dog. They always try to fit you in if you have a tight schedule. Best vets in cincy.
Really appreciated when they fit me in last minute on a Saturday morning in an emergency situation.
