The worse experience after gallbladder surgery. As soon as I opened my eyes in recovery there was a nurse that forced me up and for me to put my clothes on, I was nauseated, she rushed me out the door and my clothes were not all the way on, my pants weren't pulled up and had one shoe on, she forced me out the door to my daughter's car. I have never been treated so poorly. And I had a infection. I will never have anything done at this hospital again, and they never sent me an experience evaluation on my time at their hospital. This was September 2021

My Mother-in-law went into the ER with possible AFIB…. Irregular heartbeat…the ER admitted her into hospital…they had to do IV and bruised her arms from digging around with the needles multiple times With the ultrasound.they started pumping heparin into her and they were going to shock her heart back into a normal rhythm.she could use a walker to get to the bathroom and back until the second evening…after we had gone home we started getting calls from the dr on the floor later saying she was in severe pain and they had given her a much too powerful pain med (she is 89 years old) dilaudid…. That they weren’t sure what they were going to do…did she have a DNR and they were most likely going to have to send her to ICU.her systolic bp Was about 40. They called me later that night and said they had given her a rapid and she had stabilized.we got there early the next morning and they had given it to her AGAIN! She went from just having a slightly irregular heartbeat to horrific pain. She also had a Huge bruise across her back about four inches from top to bottom. She was unable to move she hurt so bad.med making her sick…she didn’t even know we were there. We figured out that the nurse aide had dropped her.no report was made… she kept complaining of horrible pain in her back…I looked and was shocked. The nurse aide actually had me help her get my MIL to portable potty beside the bed because she told me she wasn’t allowed to do it by herself “because of what happened the other night” her words. We were all ready to leave and cardiology dept dr came in after we had received discharge paperwork and told her she had a low blood count and had to stay another night. They had to do a transfusion because of where they had dropped her.and afterwards I found the ulcer from the fall from where her tailbone had hit the floor. No lawyer will take the case but I would not even take my Dog to St Ann’s. She went in with irregular heartbeat and came out with an irregular heartbeat and way worse problems that we are Still dealing with over 2months later. If I could give ZERO stars I would.

I had been wanting to do this evaluation for a while and today this day arrived my son was born two 2 years ago this month, and at the time I really wanted to do the tubal ligation because he would be the third child. They won’t approve me and they didn’t make much effort to transfer me from the hospital for me to have the surgery. The worst of all that today on this date I send this message, 11/02/23 I am recovering from the surgery I did yesterday on the 1st because Mount Carmel did not do it, they did not respect my decision. So I had to go through this surgery and they had a cesarean section on me and I already had two previous cesarean sections. The postpartum did not worry or contact me for my gynecological appointment. Maybe because I’m an immigrant. They charge me this debt to this day. Since I can’t afford to pay and they didn’t help me to be transferred. The nurses were attentive, each other not so much. In ultrasounds they always left me in doubt, they never clarified everything and made me afraid of having something with my baby. My frustration is so great due to my childbirth. When I was discharged, a woman took my son’s blanket from my arms because it was very soft
And I couldn’t roll the baby up since I was going to go out with him and in November it’s very cold outside. Feeling bad in some consultations for leaving me waiting for hours without eating anything. And they apologized to me. I wouldn’t have had to do the tubal ligation if they had done and understood my situation. Now I’m at home frustrated and I try to recover and take care of my son who will be two years old and two more boys. I’m not one to evaluate anything but I couldn’t help but evaluate this situation

I have had multiple surgeries in my life. My experience following my hysterectomy at Mt. Carmel St. Ann's was absolutely phenomenal. I stayed in the mother and infant floor over night. Never having had children, my initial nurse made sure that I was comfortable on this floor and that I did not feel triggered. Every nurse and tech I interacted with was so kind and compassionate towards me and my condition of endometriosis. From the nurse who cares for me pre-op, the post op recovery nurse and my nurses on the floor. They cheered me on every step the way. I felt so loved and cared for by these complete stranger I was on the verge of tears. A phenomenal experience.

Had the best experience with an outpatient surgery possible. Interacted with a total of 13 staff members, from administration to nurses to MDs and every single one was extremely kind and caring for a very difficult procedure. I couldn’t have asked for better care. They were all caring, communicative, professional, and punctual. The facility was clean and well kept, I felt very safe and respected. Processes of check in and pre- and post-op were organized and smooth. They kept my husband as involved and informed as possible. It was the best experience I have had at any hospital and I would return here for care anytime it is needed.

THE WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE IN THE ER! Isiah who works at the front of the ER was moody, rude and pushy. I came into the ER GASPING for air after having a hysterectomy not even 6 hours before my arrival to the ER. I could barely speak and tried to tell them my doctors office called ahead.so instead of helping me (while i was unable to breathe) Isiah rudely tells me to sit down. At this point i’m gasping for air and crying.i couldn’t believe how i was being treated. I was then taken back to get vitals and still no one is addressing the fact i was literally gasping for air.instead they keep asking me questions. I said I was here 6 hours ago for a hysterectomy, I am in terrible pain and i cannot breathe. I was then sent back out to sit down. Then an older nurse with short hair comes to get me and had complete attitude. I was crying asking for my mom to come with me because at this point i was afraid someone was going to purposefully kill me. The nurse snaps and says you cannot come back there. My mom said, can’t i walk with her and stand outside the x ray room? She rudely said no.instead of looking at me while walking and talking she looks forward and asked a question to which i said i cannot hear you and she said “do not yell at me” i did not yell, i said i could not hear you and she said you need to tell me your date of birth.so i did.and again i was crying and gasping for air. I told her she didn’t need to be rude and she looked me in the eyes and said you don’t need to yell.she then gets me to x-ray and pushes my body up against the wall to have an x-ray.keep in mind, i just had surgery and my abdomen is considerably tender, and she’s not providing clear direction so instead of explaining what she needs me to do, she pushes me.so then we walk back to the waiting room where i have to sit again gasping for air. So then Isiah comes out from behind the desk and says to come with him and again i asked for my mom and he said she cannot come. But, they were taking me to a bed so i was confused as to why she couldn’t come.keep in mind he has the nastiest look on his face the entire time! He tells me to have a seat but just stops and stares at me.like i’m supposed to magically read his mind to know what he needs to do next.there is a gown sitting on the bed but he doesn’t say anything to me.he finally says to sit back and then puts the bed back without warning me and then it triggers another breathing episode because i could not breathe laying back.he then says to take off my shirt.at this point i’m crying again and i said i was not comfortable just taking off my shirt without a gown on and i said i have the right to a companion and i want a companion.i’m crying and gasping for air and asking for my
mom.he throws up his hands and says i’m getting someone else and i said good because i don’t want you to touch me. So like 4 nurses come, including Andrea a clinic manager, and all of them (besides one) with rude faces toward me. And i know how it goes in medical field, you piss one off, then that one sends a text or tells in person and then they all back their own. At this point i am 100% sure someone is going to kill me on purpose. I was looking at my mom crying and then gasping for air.one nurse says your oxygen is 100% like i was an idiot for not being able to breathe. But, the gas pains were so
bad that I couldn’t breathe and NO ONE WAS DOING ANYTHING TO HELP ME.instead Andrea comes to check on her own and asked if they were all doing ok and if they needed anything as if I was going to do something to harm them. The one nurse can’t get an IV in me and has a sour look on her face.doesn’t apologize for digging in my arm.finally a nice nurse comes who graduated from Hilliard Darby in 2004 (i cannot think of her name) tall beautiful nurse who had cool tattoos and a cool halloween shirt was nice to me.and when i would have.a breathing episode she would come in and get me to breathe slowly in through my nose and out through my mouth.i was later admitted and everything was perfect after leaving the ER.

If I could rate this hospital -5 stars I would. Don’t ever go here. Spend the time and go somewhere where they actually care about you

I was inpatient a couple of weeks ago, and was discharged on a Thursday. I was back in the ER Friday evening via ambulance. The doctor and nurses were discussing how I had left AMA, when I stayed a day longer than the doctor wanted me to. I tried to tell them I didn't leave AMA, but it's like they didn't hear me. I even had my discharge paperwork!
I sat in that room, after the initial care, for over an hour. No one checked on me, the monitors kept going off, and I had to use the bathroom. I had to get up and get the call button and pushed it several times, but was only answered once. I never got to use the bathroom, so I decided to go on my own. I removed all the wires and tubes and left. They were only worried about my IV. I pulled that out in the bathroom.
I will NEVER go back to St Anne's ER. I was treated so badly that I'm still upset.

This place is the worst hospital I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. The people are the worst most uncaring rude people I have every delt with. My mother got sent there and I have Medical POA, even so they refused to tell how she was doing and even refused to let me talk to her doctor or nurse, they refused to even tell me how she was doing. They did not even tell her what they found or what tests they were doing on her. She just sat in a freezing room all day and all alone. WHAT WERE THEY HIDING!
What kind of legal action should I take against them now? That's what I'm asking!
Very unscrupulous and unethical medicine!

AVOIDE THIS PLACEN drive few miles farther to a better hospital. This place treat people like cattle in a acattle car.

I will make sure all of the agencies that provide services to seniors will know about this place. If you are a senior or have senior parent DONT LET THEM GO HERE! ¡¡! ¡!

Have been here twice this year for about a week at a time with family members and numerous times over the past 20 years. 99% of the nurses, doctors, techs, and cleaning staff are fabulous. Every now and then you get one that doesn't necessary have the best bedside manner. I was also here in August for foot surgery for myself. The entire surgery team was great and I was in an out quickly. I had this same surgery done earlier this year on the other foot and the amount that St Ann's charged was almost $20k, when the surgery center only charged about $6k. That is ridiculous billing! The ER docs and nurses are generally great here as well. The security guards that work the ER are almost always first class jerks. If they hate interacting with people so much, then why works this job? The food is beyond terrible. Hospital food is never good, but some of this isn't even edible (especially the mac and cheese.nauseating). Not sure if the bistro makes the patient and guest trays, but someone does not know how to cook at all (and is common to sit on hold for 30-40 minute waiting on kitchen to pickup to order meal tray). The worst experience here is the social worker named Mary C.that is an RN on the palliative floor. She is absolutely horrific. She is supposed to be helping families and patients (especially on this floor pre-death). She is rude, lazy, and inept. She made my dealing with the notice of my dad's pending death and hospice/care facility needs so much harder than they should have been. She had me in tears, and had both hospice and the care facility upset that she could not do her job correctly. I actually ended up doing all of the work myself that she was supposed to be doing. St. Ann's needs to do everyone a favor and terminate her.

I was coming for dinner after work here and there. It’s was nice to have somewhere quite to go. But after wrestling with your cafeteria hours, hard accessibility from the parking lot, and other issues, the lack of free refill on soda is what got me. With the high food prices do you have to gouge with drinks as well?

Only for profit!

I had to visit this hospital a couple of days ago. Most of the staff there take their job seriously and enjoy assisting others. They took great care of me, and made sure I understood each step of my care. I just wanted to thank the staff that I came in contact with while I was there. Please keep up the good work! We definitely appreciate it!

Tried to call twice to check on my dad's colonoscopy procedure. The lady at the main desk was nice but she had to transfer me. Once she transferred, it was literally just "dead air" (not even hold music or anything) for 5 minutes and then hung up on me both times. NOT IMPRESSED.
