Murphy's Autocare, Beavercreek OH

My typical experience with car repair shops is I will drop it off, then the mechanic will call me, rattle off several things that may or may not actually need fixed that I can hardly understand or process, then give me a quote that sounds outrageous. The Murphy's process is much more streamlined, where they send you a link to a webpage listing thorough details of their complete inspection of the car, specifying what needs fixed immediately, what may need to be checked at a later time, and what's perfectly fine with your car. For my repair, they explained clearly why they had to do what they did, the price was fair, and it was done quickly and efficiently. Overall, their professionalism was greatly appreciated!

Then the mechanic Chris told me upon paying for a repair that I had saved a considerable amount of money off their original quote because the repair didn't end up requiring all the parts he originally thought it might. Absolute usury on parts prices. They want to charge $340 for a starter that is between $130-279 at Autozone. There is a $95 diagnostic fee when they were told what the problem is and what to replace. Mysterious “Job Supply Fee” add to the tax line. Labor prices are fair, otherwise they are out to screw you. Also tried to say it needed an oil change on a car that had it’s oil changed less than 3 weeks ago. That’s called lying.

We had a very used vehicle inspected to determine if it would be cost effective to repair or retire a vehicle. The inspection was very thorough, honest, and timely! Couldn’t be happier with the service we received! May not have been the outcome we wanted, but the honesty was much appreciated at a decent price. We will continue to do service with Murphy’s Auto!

Kent and the repair crew have been incredibly honest and up-front about what is wrong with the truck and have fixed every problem that I have brought them efficiently. I highly recommend this Auto shop, and this is the place you need to go if you want your vehicle really taken care of!

Murphy's is probably the best Auto repair shop I have been too. Friendly and Knowledgeable staff. They even reminded me when my car is due for an oil change!
