4Mustill Store/House is a visitor center and museum on the Ohio&Erie Canal Towpath. A good starting point to continue on the towpath to see locks number 3,2,1.
One of my top favorite towpath! Love it here! Love the old general store and all the history that goes with this place. This spot has happy written all over it! One of Akrons gems!
We did 11.5 miles from here going north. Surprisingly there are not many pit stops. Pretty much all crush stone. Not much is level. This is definitely a workout.
This trailhead has lost its appeal due to the devastation of the trail's natural scenic ambience by the construction of OCIT-1 which has made a section of this trail a wasteland! This area needs to be re-forested ASAP. It's very sad because this used to be my favorite trailhead to run from and now there is a behemoth structure built there and a very large field of nothing but open space beside it. Very sad: - (It does have a nice bathroom with running water.
