National Jewelry and Pawn, Akron OH

Sometimes I have good experiences and other times they are rude and talk down to you. The young lady that works there is very nice and professional. The one guy, not sure of his name is a know it all, cuts you off in conversation, and talks down to you like your a nobody.

Been going here for years. This review is mostly in regards to my most recent visits. (pre-COVID-19)
I found the staff here to be rude & confrontational. I mean.just look at the responses they've made to people's reviews here. Poor attitudes. Very unprofessional. The 2 stars are for at least giving fair prices and okay handling of equipment; but If there was another pawn shop nearby then I would most certainly go there just to avoid these people. Owner included.

Every experience I've had there was great. Friendly staff, fair prices, if I pawn something always get it back in the same condition if not better. They work fast, and efficient. This is the only pawn shop I regularly visit.

Every time I need some cash they are always there for me. Thanks again for all your help on my last situation.

The staff here are awesome. I was in need of some money between jobs and they were there for me!

I purchased a television and tools for my business. The professionalism of the two employees was awesome! I will be back for more stuff as soon as I make some more money! Thanks again

Retraction: These people appear to be nice and fake like they trying to help but all at the same time they getting over on my personal I will never use their service again. I'm disappointed.

"Pawn Brokers Of America" was alot better they cared about their customers.

I used to think they provided a very helpful service to the community until. I lost a very valuable instrument, that was supposed to be forfeted and sold/ out on lay a way by of a customer within 2 days of being supposed to have been late! (According to Ron) The thing is, I had other items that I had been paying interest on within the same time frame. How did those items not been forfeited as well? This one employee kept saying you going mess around and I going to have to save it, and sell it back to you at a higher price. I could even go for that. But a straight up lie is what gets to me about an inlegitmet and unfair forfeiture, is Just wrong.

Great experience. Friendly staff. Ron was great. I thought a ring I had was NOT a real diamond and presented it for pawning as such. They checked the ring, told me it was in fact a real diamond, and gave me 3x what I thought I'd get initially. Fair, honest, and friendly!

Phone was disconnected and I am unable to find a website to see what time theyre open til.does anyone know their hours?

Very little knowledge of fair prices. My quote wasnt even based off a ACTUAL price they just found cheapest one on ebay and said thats best they can do (1/10 the value) did same another time before on a pair of 250$ headphones.new in box offered me 25$

They are great! They give the best piece they can and well work with you. They don't want to keep your stuff. I will be a customer for life!

Pretty cool place. My first time in a pawn shop. Great prices. Great selection. Even better workers. Great attitudes, all smiles. The 2 girls there helped me and as far as i could tell while watching them interact with other customers as well, these people really care about their customers, whether pawning or buying. I will definitely be back with my wife. She will love the jewelry!

OMG so helpful! I don't know who took over this store but it went from being a real dump to a very cute little shop. I was a little concerned when I saw that a lot of the staff changed, but they are all a lot more friendly and carry a lot more stuff as well. Definitely recommend the trip to North Hill for these guys. -Kay
