I would highly recommend Dr. Mutnal for hip replacement surgery. My mother fell and broke her hip during a time that I was also dealing with an emergent situation with my husband. He got her into surgery and kept me updated with phone calls during this stressful time. He also did a great job with the surgery. She was up and walking within a couple of days and recovered very well. Everyone at her rehab sessions were amazed at how well she was doing so quickly. I was very impressed with his care of my mom.

Dr Mutnal is a very skilled surgeon. He performed my anterior hip replacement. I am 3 months out and I don’t even think about the surgery. I am pain free. I have complete range of motion and complete mobility. The recovery time was quick. I am a retired nurse and have cared for patients having the posterior approach. The recovery period is much greater than the anterior approach. And the restrictions for the anterior approach are almost nonexistent compared to the posterior approach. I only had 2 restrictions. Dr Mutnal is also very personable and easy to talk to. He cares about you as a patient and a person. I recommend him and anterior approach hip replacement.

I have been seeing Dr. Mutnal and his staff for going on 3 years. He and his staff have always gone above and beyond in my care. I had seen him for some long-term issues, and then in an emergency situation when I broke my leg. He and his staff always respond quickly, professionally and with genuine care. Dr. Mutnal and his staff always make me feel like more of a friend, not just a patient. I highly recommend Dr Mutnal and his staff. It is not common to find doctors that are as caring and as passionate as Dr Mutnal and his staff!

Dr. Mutnal performed left knee replacement October 13,2022. To begin it was a bit scary because of all the stories from mutual softball friends. Maybe even reluctance! Initial pain as expected but not overwhelming! I followed all of his recommendations for therapy and strengthening. I play softball three times a week and on a Triple A Tournament Team also! I began indoor play by January and have not looked back. To say things have turned well is an understatement. Dr. Mutnal’s bedside manner is fantastic. He listens to you and and your questions with statements you can understand. His workmanship is beyond reproach. I would tell anyone with knee pain which may turn to replacement speak to Dr Mutnal! Give your future with walking normal again without pain the proper opportunity with him!

Dr. Mutnal did a knee replacement this past spring on my husband’s left knee which had been causing significant pain the last few years. I injured my knee somehow, it became very swollen and painful with a limited range of motion. Thinking it was some sort of sprain, I gave it time expecting it to heal on it’s own. When it didn’t, I was nervous to seek out a doctor, I’ve had ankle surgery in the past and my experience wasn’t great. Dr. Mutnal came very highly recommended and I could see why from the initial consultation. He was very thoughtful and professional, taking the time to answer my questions as we talked through the possible issues/solutions. After doing and MRI it was evident that the knee would require surgery. The morning of I can honestly say I wasn’t nervous, the doctor had explained the procedure and I had complete confidence. After a successful surgery, the doctor and his staff explained in detail to me the recovery and rehabilitation process. I was amazed at how tiny the incisions on my knee were first off, unbelievable! I went home to recover and followed the rehab instructions (written with diagrams) diligently in the following weeks. The staff called to check up on me after surgery and during my rehab, something I didn’t experience with my previous surgery where I was pretty much left to my own devices. The recovery was faster than expected, I was quickly up and walking and doing limited modified yoga not long after surgery. I’ve made a full recovery, the knee feels great with no lingering issues. Very grateful to Dr. Mutnal and his staff, can’t recommend them enough.

Dr. Mutnal recently treated my daughter for a fracture to her leg. He was extremely professional and attentive to her needs. We are grateful for all his hard work!

Boy, was I nervous. Thank goodness for Dr. Mutnal. I didn't want to have surgery but I couldn't even walk to the mailbox without pain. In the lead-up to surgery Dr. Mutnal put my mind at ease by explaining simply and in straight forward fashion what to expect. He and his staff were compassionate, friendly and helpful every step of the way. Dr. Mutnal performed an anterior hip replacement. That's where the hip joint is accessed through the front of the leg instead of the back. This approach reduces recovery time. They had me up and walking that afternoon and I felt better than ever within a couple months. If you must get hip replacement surgery you can't do better than Dr. Amar Mutnal.

Best doctor ever. He is a no nonsense doctor and I mean that in a good way. He will try every way to aid help in your issues before a surgery is scheduled. I have had a lot of ails over the years and it was very difficult to stay active. Dr. Mutnal has changed my life. In 11 months I have had 3 surgeries but 5 procedures within those surgeries and each one has been a success. Very competent surgeon, best one I've ever in encountered on his specialty. I have recommended him to several of my family members so I hope they go see him and they can feel as good as I do. We still have issues to address but I'm not afraid to get the fmixed as long as he is my surgeon.

Dr. Mutnal did a fantastic job, actually over and above with my time with him. During my pre op testing it was found that I needed a heart valve replacement before we could proceed with the surgery. He referred me to wonderful heart surgeon who was able to complete the valve replacement in a timely fashion. Once complete we were able to proceed with the hip replacement. I am more than pleased with the care and attention he gave to my case! If and when I need another procedure I will go back and I highly recommend him. Dan McCoy

I went to Dr. Mutnal pretty much knowing I needed at least one hip replacement. Turns out both were in real bad shape. Within a couple weeks of meeting him, one hip was done and 3 months later, the other. Best move I ever made. He has been great throughout the whole process, checks in frequently to make sure everything is going well and it has been.

Dr. Mutnal did my knee replacement surgery. By far the best surgeon! He is a perfectionist, from the day of surgery to the end of phycial therapy Dr Mutnal encourages you to be an "A" doesn't want you to settle for less. I highly recommend Dr. Mutnal.

Dr. Amar Mutnal is amazing at what he dose. I had a hip replacement and was back to work in 3 weeks. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM.

As a retired nurse practitioner, I did a lot of research in order to find a surgeon to replace my hip. Dr. Mutnal is one of the few in the area that does a "frontal"/"anterior" approach, thereby cutting down my recovery time. Within a month I was walking without any assistance (no walker, no cane) and even more importantly, without pain. I realize that not everyone may have such great results, but I will say that a friend of mine who had the more traditional approach with another surgeon lagged behind me (though she is about 10 yrs younger & much more fit). His staff works very hard to fit in appointments & surgery around your schedule, too!

Dr. Mutnal went above and beyond with his care and follow up. I would certainly recommend him.
