ODNR Grand River Target Range reviews
7Great place to go shoot trap, but people don't clean up after themselves; the place is littered with shotshells. I almost want this place to be supervised because I saw some bullet casings on the ground. I hope no one's shooting pistols or rifles here.
Before coming here I read all of the reviews and I’ve gotta say, this place is totally chill and respectful. All of the RO’s were very friendly and not a single one gave off “wannabe military” vibes. As long as you have a basic understanding of how to handle a firearm you should be golden. Bought the annual pass and as another on here had said, it paid for itself the first trip.
Place is terrible. I went to this place twice and i could not even shoot both times. All the 50 yard and 100 yard spots were taken and not one person was shooting. Everyone sitting in chairs with drinks just shooting the breeze acting like it was a family reunion. There wont be a 3rd visit.
I'm visiting the area from the southwest corner of Ohio. The folks here are very nice from the range officers to the range users. Since I am a first time guest, a gentleman named Bob gave me a quick run down of the rules and oriented me to the ranges. The only "surprise" for me was they don't allow use of staples on the target backers. It wasn't a big deal, though, because they had several rolls of tape we could use. I'm still here at the moment and am sure glad I came to check it out.
The perfect place to go and do some shooting. Relaxed, no timers to worry about, and inexpensive (with the exception of ammo of course). Nice area.
Great range, nice fellas running it. Just wish they would let you shoot steel targets.
I have practiced shooting at this location for over a dozen years-the staff are safely first and don't hesitate to call shooters out on rapid fire, shooting from the hip.
