Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles reviews
19It was actually not bad to get a new ID from transferring from out of state. Very nice person helped us thru the process.
I've had a good experience both times I've gone. Employees are extremely nice which is unusual for a bmv lol. The woman that helped me saved me from an extra trip.
Roughly a 5-minute wait to get a new license on a Friday afternoon. The process was simple and easy, and the workers were very polite and helpful.
These are wonderful people. I've watched them take abuse from disgusting customers and they are always as polite and helpful as you would expect. Thanks for your great and fast service!
I have called or walked in to this bmv numerous times and I am constantly met with rudeness. The poor attitude I recieve each time is why I dread going to this particular bmv. Why work in a customer service field if you dont like people. I hope other people dont have the same experience I do when I call or visit findlay bmv.
The team at the Findlay branch is OUTSTANDING! I was dreading having to transfer an out of state license and title, but they were so fast and efficient. And friendly! Absolute best experience I've ever had at a BMV/DMV ever in my life. Go Findlay BMV!
If someone calls and ask what documentation is required to obtain a drivers license when moving from out of state. May want to mention EVERYTHING that is needed so people don’t take time out of their day to come wait for and hour to only be told you don’t have what’s needed. Which is specifically why I called before attempting to get license.
Thank goodness the ladies are friendly because the wait is atrocious. Would be nice to have an estimated time of wait along with active wait list. I could have checked in and ran all my errands around town and still been back for my turn
They refused to take my picture because of the hat I was wearing. I wear the hat for my own personal religious beliefs. My face was visible so there should not have been any problem what so ever. Crimes against religion are allowed at the findlay ohio bmv.
The employees that I came in contact with were very pleasant, knowledgeable and helpful. It's the only DMV in a city with the population of almost 50,000 so it's always a long wait.
Definitely recommend the on line check in, I walked right in and up to the window with no wait and it looked like there were 25 people waiting in line!
I pre-registered online this morning before heading to the BMV. I was emailed back my personal number to be called once I checked in. I checked in and immediately received a text to come into the inter lobby and wait for my name to be called. I didn't even get a chance to sit down. My number and name are called immediately. There must have been at least 40 people waiting to be served. By pre-registering, I moved right to the head of the line. I was in and out in 15 minutes.
They are pretty good at pushing people through, at least in comparison to other BMV facilities.
Always busy, but you move through quick, and the people working the counter are always very sweet and helpful.

There is a check-in kiosk and plenty seats in the waiting area. Reps were friendly. Plenty of parking spots.
Went in to get tagged for trailers and Shirley pointed out that I needed a license also and with her assistance all went very smoothly, wonderful experience thank you
Had no issues went relatively fast they were very friendly. Also use the title office and that was very fast too and friendly
Checking in with the kiosk is a wonderful improvement. That allows you to see where you are in line right away very clearly.
When I was there a few days ago they were short staffed, but still doing a very good job of getting people moving through at a reasonable pace.
