Ohio River Museum

We had a very interesting quick tour of this museum. It was very informative trip. They had some rare exhibits, I remember buying some posters of some stern wheelers from this museum.

The museum has three buildings with displays of all different types of river craft from canoes to steamboats. There are models of different types of steamboats along with bells, calliopes, paddle wheels, helms and furnishings of the boats on display. Photos of the ships interiors and a video of the collection are on display.
The guided tour of the W. P. Snyder Jr.was excellent, the guide was very knowledgeable regarding the history of the ship, the way it was manned and how everything on the boat worked.
Well worth the visit!
