Ohio State McCampbell Outpatient Care

I have a history of recurrent miscarriages. I've had 3 consecutive miscarriages in the span of 1 year. I am currently pregnant and at my appointment I thought they would do an ultrasound to make sure everything is good and baby is having a normal heart beat. At the appointment I was 11 weeks pregnant which is around the same time my last miscarriage happened. I was very anxious and scared hoping everything was going well with the baby. The nurse told me this appointment was only for a follow up. I waited an entire month just for a "follow up". The last time I received an ultra sound was when I was 7 weeks pregnant, which was around the same time my first two miscarriages happened. Everything seemed normal at the first ultrasound. During the follow up I was just asked about some symptoms I was having. The follow up could've been done on the phone honestly. The lady did use a hand Doppler to listen for heart beat. Whatever we heard was so faint and low which had my anxiety going through the roof. I left the hospital sobbing because I didn't know whether my baby was doing fine or not. I had to go to a private ultrasound technician just to get my ultrasound done and I had to pay out of pocket, it was worth every penny because it brought my anxiety down and I left with the biggest smile on my face.

I had a great experience at my appointment! I was greeted with warmth and was seen on time! The procedure was explained in depth and I understood the complications and possible results that will be presented at a later date. All were very professional and kind! Thank you for a confident appointment during an anxious moment!

Dr Pollak is wonderful he takes his time to listen to me and the staff is great, their kind and courteous

The staff are some of the nicest I've ever seen. They go out of their way to make sure as a patient you are comfortable and at ease.

McCampbell is a great facility that is very accessible to all types of people. The building has wide entrances and wheelchairs available at the door. There are lots of signs and large visuals directing patients and visitors to different departments in the building. The lobby area is quiet and has a good amount of space for waiting. There is also a drop off lane in front of the building with ramps from the street to sidewalk.
