Friends came up from Kettering as we had bragged about the festival. Loved the Swiss horn concert. The museum was very informative. Even found a photo of my Grandfather at his cheese factory. We all loved the wine and cheese tasting. Wish there had been more cheese factories represented. Wish the parade had more participation. I also wish there had been more Swiss/German craft booths. Definitely worth your time especially if you have children that want to ride on carnival rides. There were also lots of good food trucks. No one had an excuse to go hungry.

I was so excited to go to my first Swiss festival. Found deep fried Swiss Cheese stand, that was the only Swiss food. I was a bit disappointed. Swiss festival Swiss foods. Nope, but the activities were fun to watch. Rock n lemon throw! Rock contest was fun to watch. The horns played beautifully. That was the icing on the cake for me, loved the music, made up for only having 1 Swiss snack, sort of. But the two people that made our day was at the craft shop. Peanut guy! He was so kind, and fantastic price and flavor for the Almond and Walnut snacks. Also a shout out to the leather maker. I purchased two of his handbag and a Christmas Stocking. Beautiful pieces of work. What a great talent, and very kind. Even if there was no Swiss cuisine, we had a great time at first Swiss Festival.

Highly nostalgic, fun and family friendly. In my experience it is less expensive than your average country fair, and has a much better selection of activities for non agriculture engaged audiences. I recommend this event for tourists and locals alike.

This town is such a quaint place. So many cute little stores and even a decanter museum. Great little quilting place to buy various things. Such a beautiful little small town vibe. A must do!
