Was sitting in the ER for 5 hours in all that time all they did was have my son pee in a cup and x-ray his stomach. 5 hours for something that takes 30 mins maybe, that's about all it took last time I was here when they x-rayed my shoulder. The door in the room was filthy with an ant problem, the woman running triage was rude we never even got our results after 5 hours we decided to leave and they refuse to give us a doctor's note for my son since he's going to have to miss school today from his lack of sleep. Pure medical neglect I will be reporting this to the Ohio State medical board. Do not go to this ER it is a waste of your time and money.

This particular Ohio Health emergency dept on North Hamilton Rd.was very clean, orderly & appeared to be efficiently managed i received top-notch service/care in a timely manner - I will use this Emergency Dept as needed in the future!

This ER will grossly overcharge for everything. I had stomach pain, which was determined to be stomach flu and cramping. They gave me a few pills for nausea, then they sent me a bill for $4000. They said that I was a level 4 emergency and charged $2,600 just for the room.
They are crooks at this location.

I've been here over 2 hours and had personal medical information read out loud by a nurse basically shouting it out for everyone else in the waiting room to hear it from the pathetic excuse of a triage. I have lower abdominal pain and abnormal bleeding and they haven't assessed me at all. This is going to be my first and last visit with an Ohio health.

Horrible horrible place to go for simple emergency. Literally waited in the waiting area for 3 hours before been seen. I asked the rude receptionist that works the late shift here at 8pm the time I arrived how much is the wait at least an estimate and she said she couldn’t provide one. I told her I’ve been to other Ohio health and was provided estimated time. She was rude and unprofessional. I will never give Ohio health my services.

I had my worst experience when I went to this facility the night of 1-8-23. I was about an hour since I entered the facility until leaving without any medical attention. I waited in the room for about half hour. Dr George Russell Sontag never came in to see/evaluate me. Only a nurse walked me up to the room and got my blood pressure (172/106). I had to provide my weight and hight since the facility didn't have devices for these measures. Noboddy came in to check my blood pressure again. Even thought nobody offer me a glass of water. They did not provide a control remote for my to call somebody just in case I need something. After half an hour in the room, I went to the lobby to get water and ask if the Dr would see me. My surprise, everybody (about 6-7 staff chating and smiling between them). Nobody worry about me while waiting.
After I saw this lack of care attitude, I decide to leave go to other ER facility.
I alreday emailed a claim letter to the Dr. Sontag, the Customer Experience Depart, and the OhioHealth CEO. Nobody has responded my claim. I had to email egain today.
They already send me a bill without details about what medical services they provided.
I didn't expect to be attended in 5-10 minutes, however, the staff DID NOT CARE about me as a human being. The facility was not busy that night at all. So it cannot use this as an excuse.
If somebody want to know more about this lack of medical service, I can provide more details.
By the way, I also talked by phone with Ms. Jury at the Experience Department and explained her in details the issue at this facility that night.
I won't use OhioHealt anymore for medical attention. It is the WORST MEDICAL SERVICE I never saw before. Its top manegement must pay attention and make the necessary corrective actions. Why a nice facility if the staff no make a good work.
I provide just one star because I have to in order to post this review. It does not deserve it. For me it is a zero (0) review.

They did their admission process in the lobby with a makeshift divider separating the patient from the lobby which is insane. I heard another patients personal information that I should have never heard. I had my medical history read where the entire lobby could hear it. Who wants to answer personal questions such as if you’re suicidal or the reason you’re being seen where everyone can hear it? The staff was nice and did a good job but admitting a patient while still in the lobby needs is a complete disregard for HIPPA’s patient privacy.

EVERY SINGLE person at this location treated me with respect, compassion and actually truly cared about my well being and getting me actually cared for fully and provided the appropriate level of care for what was going on. They were kind and patient to answer any questions I had and made sure I understood and wasn't leaving with unanswered questions or concerns. It's really sad to say, I've never been to an urgent care or ER (and even most doctor offices) that have treated me with compassion who actually cared. Not one ounce of it seemed fake or like an act, they genuinely cared for the people they were seeing. I would recommend this location 10 out of 10 times & rate them higher than 5 stars if I could. The difference from every other place I've been to and this location, was night & day. THANK YOU for actually caring and taking the time to be sure each patient is treated like an actual person and not just "another day at work" or "just a paycheck. "

I'm not comfortable going into specifics for privacy reasons but I've had a few bad experiences here. I'm not shocked at the other reviews.

Beware of price gouging - do NOT go here!

You will find other reviews of folks that got surprise bills. In addition to a $4,000 (adjusted to $2500 by my insurance) emergency visit for a panic attack in facility charges alone, they will also have a company called Mid-Ohio Emergency bill you separately for the physician, which was another $2000 (adjusted to $500), although he only spent 10 minutes with me and wrote the notes.

That's a $6000 charge, or for me, $3,000 out of pocket, for a 45 minute ER visit. Yikes.

WARNING: This is an emergency room. You will be charged at emergency room rates, not urgent care rates, regardless of whether you are experiencing an emergency. I did not know this was an emergency room when I visited for a non-emergency issue. After my visit, I received multiple different bills for my visit, each at emergency room level rates. I asked OhioHealth several times to review my bill because the billing code assigned to my visit was incorrect and resulted in a rate 2-5x higher than it should have been, but they refused to explain it or change it. They then sent me letters and emails threatening to send my bill to collections. Please make sure to go to an urgent care, preferably Ohio State Outpatient Care New Albany, instead of OhioHealth Emergency Care New Albany, if you are experiencing a non-emergency issue.

10/10 would not recommend. Many red flags, sat in their waiting room for 3 hours with a fractured ankle because I didn't seem that hurt, among other bias. I was seen at the urgent care location after, and my experience was night and day.

My son had severe covid symptoms and was transported to this facility. After a quick vitals check, he heard a female employee ask another employee if the EMTs had checked his lungs. The employee’s response was “I don’t know, I guess”, then the female said she’d note he was asymptomatic. She finished her notes, handed my son one Tylenol and sent him on his way.

If this facility would’ve listened to my son’s lungs, they would’ve known something was wrong. If this facility would’ve completed a CT scan using the machine they had on site, they would’ve seen he had covid pneumonia in both lungs. Instead, he went home and suffered a few more days until he was admitted to hospital in downtown Columbus. There he fought for his life for 21 days. Then a 29-year old man who had been married for less than 2 months and had no pre-existing conditions, died. My only son, who was denied proper diagnosis and treatment, died from ARDS. If this facility would’ve taken the time to do their jobs and not make assumptions, he could have gotten treatment earlier and might have survived. I would NOT recommend this facility to anyone.

Over four hours and counting to see a physician. Still waiting. Patients being seen out in the crowded waiting room. I know it was a busy day, but seems understaffed even for a moderate day. We should have just gone over to Mt. Carmel.
