OhioHealth Southeastern Medical Center reviews
20I have been to this ER on 3 separate occasions and in I just left there after a visit for severe cluster headaches and it is hands down the fastest care I have EVER received. The doctors actually seemed to genuinely care and listened close as I tried to describe my symptons ans within 30 mins of walking in the ER I was registered and in a room with an IV and already feeling relief. This has been the case for all 3 separate visits. The nursed, doctors, scan tech, and providers were all amazing! Thank you so much for giving relief from those God awful headaches!
I’m only giving this five stars because we had an awesome nurse Dillion! He has been the only one that has been able to complete everything necessary for my toddler for testing and knowing how busy they were…he even went out of his way to make sure my son got a popsicle. I really felt like he cared and listened to my concerns as most other professionals just don’t care. He was very caring and compassionate.
The check in lady was super nice the nurses were awesome especially the man I had and the one female I had the CT lady was super nice also n the doctor was nice. If I'm ever done there with family again n have to go back I would. They took good care of me thanks guys I appreciate you all.
What kind of place is this if they only " look"at your sick child and say let the sickness run it's course! How do u know by looking at him with out labs or any test! Southeastern med is last place to go!
ER doctors are not helpful, don’t know what they are doing and send you home with little to no information as well as lack of adequate treatment
I was sent to the hospital for labs and specimens today after being seen at the urgent care. The MLT took my blood and would not allow me to use the restroom in the hospital to produce a specimen because it was against hospital policy. Embarrassingly, I drive 2 hours today to get there, return home and come back. I am disappointed in this response and lack of patient advocacy from a place equipped to handle biohazards. “Sorry” wasn’t good enough for me today.
This is an okay place get patched up. I should went somewhere else. I have food poisoning no covid not the flu. Ppl shouldn't take ibuprofen and Tylenol ten times a day. I had go somewhere else they did give fluids it helped till I got diarrhea more frequently with the antibiotics they gave me. It definitely depends on who's working that day.
I've been through here several times over the years and this review is long overdue.
The staff appear to be caring, professional, and easy to talk with. They have always explained everything before proceeding and proceeded with care.
Thank you for the great service and providing service that can be trusted.
I went in with a bad back injury from work. The staff was awesome! Very thorough.didn't take forever. Sent me with some pain stuff.just very accommodating. I appreciate all of them!
I had a great experience in the ER. Nurses, doctors an admitting staff all friendly, efficient. I came in on a Saturday morning (we were camping near by) with abdominal pain. After tests, then MRI. Diagnosis Appendicitis after 6hrs in ER I was being admitted and prep for surgery. I"M now home recovering. Thank you!
This is an amazing facility really wish I lived closer in case of medical needs. This is the first time I’ve visited this hospital but it is above and beyond with there staffing and accommodations. They call you to inform you how the patients surgery went as well as face to face interaction and they also give you a color coded surgery procedure card so you know on the monitor the precise phase the person your there for is in.
The hospitalist for my mom is awesome. He actually came into the room spoke to usfor 10 minutes. He didn't seem to be in a hurry and listened to and addressed all of our concerns. Very pleased with her stay this far.
I had blood work done on 9-1-22, the hospital lab did the draw. The Phlebotomist who drew my blood, the young lady in the lab was wonderful. Caring, outgoing, friendly, and knows her job well. Easily the smoothest lab draw/experience I have yet had. I think I met one of the Lord's angels in that lab.
From the everyone in the ER to everyone that was involved in my care after being admitted, they were all wonderful, caring, amazing bedside manners, informative, and patient. Dr. Leslie made sure all my questions were answered before the surgery.
The hospital itself could use a little updating.
The ICU was absolutely wonderful to my wife, spent a week there and they treated her amazing. Absolutely no complaints from us!
Cons: 3 different staff discussed PHI/PPI in front of waiting room full of people. Doctor seemed inexperienced and unsure of what he was doing. A lot of unnecessary tests, but no answers just told me to go see someone else for answers.
Pros: The staff were nice at least, most nurses/techs very caring and attentive
Worst place to go went in for contractions i am 37 weeks pregnant was not even there a hour, before they sent me home was told not to come back unless i had my medical records because i was staying with someone up here and not from around here, they have no business talking to their patients like they do will not be coming back
Took my 13 year old daughter to this hospital for her injured toe on the 16th of May and they said that its not broke and not to take the toenail off. All they did was wrapped a bandaid on it and didn't even clean it what so ever. A week later I had to take her to mvhc because the toe didn't look right. The doc there said they should have taken the toe nail off and prescribe her antibiotics because now that the hospital didn't do their job she has a severe infection in her toe. She did everything that the hospital told her to do which was to wash it with soap and water and wrap it. Good job southeastern med! What a joke! Bandaid shop for sure!
The nurses and the staff were very good and helpful to me they stood beside me while I was in gallbladder surgery and they gave me a popsicle and pudding and glass of water right after I got done in surgery and we talked and the anesthesia made me feel funky but I pulled through it.
I want to thank our nurses and surgeons for all they do for me. I be coming back to this place in the near future.
The security officer was nice too.
They don't pay attention to medical records, they don't clean your room, they're rude and they release you when you shouldn't be! Worst hospital by far
