Old St. Mary's Church reviews
11Since I am a coffee drinker and slow to get moving I really appreciate the 12: 10 Mass. I also appreciate being able to receive on my knees. The show total reverence to our Lord. And that is why I come here.
Old St. Mary's is a gem in downtown Cincinnati! The amount of history within the walls is truly incredible. I love how you can still smell the incense and see the slight haze from the previous mass as the sunlight pours through the windows. Stunning church and I cannot wait to return!
Amazing and Beautiful Catholic Church in Cincinnati. One of the most beautiful catholic churches I've seen. Highly recommend going to mass and or adoration here.
Beautiful church! Sadly most people that attend that church don't wear masks. I am saddened by the lack of empathy of these people.
No social distancing, no masks, very political homily, I left at communion when the priest didn't sanitize his hands and did not wear a mask. What is going on here?
The only reason I'm not giving them 5 stars is because they're allowing people to attend without masks, despite the bishop's orders for the diocese of Cincinnati.
It's a beautiful parish with a reverent mass, but they sadly attract a crowd that would be bothered more with someone having their hands in an orans position for the Pater Noster, than trying to make an environment that feels safe for the immune compromised.
Seriously- you people need to obey the bishop. Not only did I witness a high percentage of attendees not wearing masks, but I was just informed that they have an internal agreement that no one has to wear a mask if they don't want to, despite the bishop's order on the door. This pick and choose traditionalism that has more to do with invoking feelings of personal holiness than caring for the weakest among us, let alone obedience to the bishop, needs to be ditched. It's ugly despite the beauty of the building.
Wonderful Church where the Mass is offered in the traditional Roman Rite. The Cincinnati Oratory is a blessing to the city
This is another great Catholic Church overseen by the Oratorian Fathers. Masses in English, German and Latin.
Great parish for extremely devout, conservative Catholics
(I am more of a St. Francis DeSales guy myself)
Beautiful inside and the priests are devout and kind.
Awe-inspiring, beautiful, and crafted by the German immigrant Tradesmen and Craftsmen who toiled in the city. Completely orthodox in it's teaching and preaching, Solemn Mass is a wondrous experience here, whether it's the Tridentine low Mass, the Latin Novus Ordo, the German Mass, or the English Mass, the experience is sublime.
Its quiet. Looks outside is clean. Church bells. And inside has beautiful windows and
The bell of St. MARY'S SOUNDS DELIGHTFUL
