I’d been a self taught guitar player since my teens but I never knew how to excel my skills or grow beyond basic chord formations and reading basic tabs. After about two months with Travis my understanding of the fretboard and building blocks of music theory has grown significantly. I am finally seeing patterns that are allowing me to progress to play creatively and break beyond the bounds of basic tablature. He is a patient teacher who seems to truly care about his students understanding of the material and their growth. I can honestly say each week, one of my favorite hours is getting to sit down and learn / practice with Travis. Definitely would recommend!

I have been working with Travis for a little over a month. I have learned so much more about playing guitar than I ever did trying to "self-teach" myself for over a decade. Travis is very kind and patient and makes lessons enjoyable. You can tell he is very passionate about teaching and he is very involved in outreach and creating a community with everyone he is working with. Highly recommend going to Travis if you have been playing for a long time but feel like you aren't improving. I am really surprised at how much I have learned already.

I've been playing guitar for about 15 years self-taught with varying degrees of success. I wanted to create my own music but was struggling to identify the most important things to learn to write music on guitar.

Within a few lessons Travis was able to analyze where I was at in my playing and provide me with the exercises I needed to best reach my goals. I've had other guitar lessons in the past, but none as good as those with Travis. I genuinely look forward to my lesson each week. Travis is very passionate about helping his students reach their guitar goals and it shows. Can't recommend him enough!

Travis is super encouraging and takes a lot trouble to make sure students have fun and feel supported. He puts a lot of effort into designing the materials and sessions and classes are fun. Learning guitar is a real joy!
