Outlet - Goodwill Industries of Greater Cleveland & East Central Ohio reviews
18NOTICE: I was shopping at the Canton Bin store this past Thursday (3/16) and didn't realize until I got home that they charged the same amount for WARES as APPAREL. Wares are supposed to be charged at. 69/lb & Apparel $1.59/lb. I (and the person I went with) got charged $1.59/lb in BOTH categories. I don't know if it is a mixup in the register or if the employee typed it in wrong but check your totals before you cash out: (Otherwise, great experience, great haul. Only rating 1 star in hopes that someone will see this & fix the issue.
I love digging through the bins for treasures! It’s not as big as the Pittsburgh location. You do get the crazy people that run to the freshly changed tables and toss items around and don’t care if they break something. The last couple times I went there they made everyone in the store go and stand at the front of the store EVERY single time they would change a table when people could have been looking through different tables instead.not sure if they still do that but it was inconvenient.
I found some comfy lounge wear. Didn't really see much else worth buying. I agree that the group of young ppl who are reselling are a bit of a problem at this store. They literally run to the new bins and dig through them like maniacs. This makes shopping there quite an unenjoyable experience. Not sure what can be done about them. Maybe hand out random tickets/numbers to everyone standing in the front during break time? Those with lowest numbers get to go first each time? Though I'm sure they would just pretend that they were the chosen ones. I live down the street and think about stopping all the time, but then I think of how annoying those ppl are and it's a big fat no.
Been here a few times. First time found nothing. Last time I was there I got an entire overflowing cart for $70. You have to have lots of time, patience, some airpods in your ears, and a kind attitude b/c this place needs some bouncers LOL. Crazy people, yes.but I minded my own business and there were plenty of very nice people digging along with me and working there. The staff is very friendly. Overall a fun time. Tip: wear some latex gloves, smile, & be nice.
Ok, here's the deal. Inexpensive way to get name brands. You can't be afraid to roll up your sleeves and sift through to find good items. Kind of like treasure hunting. You pay for clothes by the weight. I got a half of a shopping cart full for $10 included Hollister jeans, like new Tom's shoes, Ann Taylor sweaters, curtains and more.
They change their tables often but they are kinda high in price. As usual it's a free for all, but society is not so nice anymore so be prepared to get bumped around and have things grabbed from in front of you or tossed at you.
I always find a lot of nice things, I've been here twice now. Spent 20.00 full shopping cart. Staff is kind and friendly. I will return.
Worst store I’ve been in went to look for a kids toy box and clothes and literally almost got trampled over while holding my one year old no consideration from people what so ever acting like straight wild animals running through the store
The people that work there are very kind, it's kinda crazy if you are familiar with the "stand at the front" process when they bring out new bins. All and all a fun experience if you have lots of time and don't mind digging thru
Cool place to find some deals, but the prices are a good bit more than the akron location. Still good deals to be found and the employees are great.
Madhouse say what when they change those bins out keep your hands inside the ride at all times. Some people straight savage. Better get the good before someone else does. Tons of fun!
To many resellers inside store sitting on bins. And too many I feel loitering at the front of the store waiting for another bin. If this was just about the Cashier Harry that I know, I wouldn't shop there and would have given him 5 stars he's such a wonderful and friendly soul.
I love this place. Incredibly awesome deals. Surprise finds and unbelievable treasures to be had. They sell by weight. Did I say amazing.
Can be good but there's a huge group of individuals that I see almost every week I come in that would sometimes crowd the door and make it hard sometimes to get in and out. Also seen elderly people get nearly trampled when we are allowed to see the new bins. If they would fix that issue and maybe get some more items besides clothing, I'll rate higher.
OMG. Thrifting at it's best. Shallow bins fill the store and are very loosely categorized- clothes, shoes, electrical things, etc. You grab a cart, dig away for buried treasure, and fill it up. Pay by the pound for most things except books and media. They routinely clear the floor of people, rotate the bins, and then it's a mad dash to the freshie. I could spend all day there.
Was in today hoping to find a treasure and as it has been for quite some time now the same young people were there there are about a dozen give or take young people that are there no matter what time of the day they push shove take things out of your hands run and are generally disrespectful to everyone looks like that store is going down hill quickly and don't think I will be patronizing it any longer as many others have stopped too
Updated review. I went back some more times after my initial few trips. The regulars who go daily have only gotten worse. If you want items with any bit of value don’t bother. They constantly wait and block out people from getting to the new drop. I’ve seen them rip items out of the hands of people next to the them. They will move people out of the way to get to a specific bin. Enjoy looking personally but it’s impossible to not get very frustrated after watching them. Worth going if you get lucky and their group of 13 people isn’t there.
Only stopped in for a moment after I dropped off donations, but it looked quite nice, and the associates I spoke to were quite nice.
